As most said without a dyno baseline it dont look too much into it. If you want to know how the car is performing take it to the strip or get a dragy.

You guys really haven’t seen where platforms start to simplify modding/tuning progression into simple terms (stages) despite the community knowing there are nuances to every build.

For the MKV Supra (and many other factory boosted platforms), stage 2 is, generally speaking, downpipe+ECU (or piggyback) tune that takes advantage of the additional flow a downpipe adds. But you and I both know that, and you’re just being facetious. Speaking in stages also simplifies the general power range to be expected before getting past the bolt on stage.

FWIW, I find “stages” both helpful in my context and funny in your context. Every mod + DA + brand of gas in every conversation is too specific. Stages are too simple. /rant

(also, not serious)
Wait i thought stage 1 was how you got the car, stage 2 was intake and exhaust, stage 3 header/dp tuning, stage 4 Big turbo, stage 5 trans upgrade, stage 6 moon boost throwing rod to moon and getting new engine?

Stages is dumb in the general sense of vehicles because companies came out with their "stages" for marketing. MAPerformance stg2 is an intake and a downpipe with the AP optional for a STI. Whereas COBB stg2 is an intake, intercooler and their AP for a GTI.. Most have moved on to the "FBO" stuff, but even that doesn't mean much since literally everything is "bolt on". Some state FBO is intake manifold others say its basic bolt ons.

Fair enough. I agree that companies muddied up how individual communities have came up with logical mod progressions (to sell more stuff).

There’s usually a next “bang for your buck” step on every platform, and that’s all I was getting at.

Well. I didn't get a stock dyno numbers. I was a little disappointed when i saw the numbers. Just because I've been see other stock car numbers almost the same as this one. I just can say it was 40 degrees cold and 50 percent humidity so it was not hot at all.

Also can't take to the drag strip until reopen back again. With only the intake i did run a 12.4 at 116

Nobody has asked some super important questions, like what software are you even tuned on? And by who? Custom Or is it an OTS tune?
Was a OTS by eurocharge

A dyno is really a "comparative" measuring device. Modern popular inertia dynos are an attempt to flatten the field so to speak and remove some of the variables but in general measurements should be done on the same dyno esp when chasing small gains. The other variables are of course how hard the car is strapped down and even driven wheel/tyre weight combinations. Want to gain a little more power, just switch to race rims and slicks on the driven wheels and you'll gain a little bit.

I put the car on a dyno. Its a 2021 tunable one. I put a mst intake and 4 5 inch powerneedy catted downpipe. Then a stage 2 tune. What you guys think about this numbers. To me i think they are kind of low

These are stock numbers. My 2021 made 413whp and 415wtq, and again 412 whp and 422 wtq on a second run. The car had no tune in the first two runs BUT did have a catless DP already installed. Then we moved onto a standard OTS 93 octane map. My best run tuned was 446.25 whp and 526wtq and it was 96 degrees F and humidity was above 40%. Since this I have now gone with an E40 custom tune and its considerably quicker. Your numbers STRONGLY suggest that your tune file did not go through properly and you're still running a stock tune.

This is what i think it happened. Because this cars constantly are making 375whp and 420tq. At least 2021 and up. I mean, i think for 1,300 i should get at least 415whp, just for having a v2mst intake intake and a catted 4.5 powerneedy downpipe. This tuner suggested buy a charge pipe and pay him another 800 to do a costum tune usinga dyno, but at this point im afraid i will end spending 2k on a tune and maybe get another 25-30hp

Request your money back and move onto either Ecutek, BM3, or MHD and a different tuner.

A chargepipe will barely do anything. The stock is fine unless you're doing meth.

So basically if we see the dyno numbers on a 2021 supras can we agree this numbers are numbers for a car with a downpipe and intake and NO TUNE ?

Unless your car is seriously hurt, your numbers are stock tune numbers.
