I would never want a 4 door luxury sedan as my weekend car lol.
Have you driven a G80 M3 or an M5? Both of those would make for a fun weekend car with a few mods.

My boss/friend drives a 2023 M8 grand coupe. I have driven that many times. I also used to own a 2013 M3 back 10 years ago. Have not driven a new M3 or M5 although I am sure the M8 is kind of like the M5. I am very experienced with BMW in general over the years of friends buying them and family.

My problem with those cars is that they are made to be driven everyday and have tons of luxury in built in them. Its less about how fast they are or how well they perform. For a weekend car I would want something with 2 doors and a loud motor. My friend with the M8 has a McLaren as a weekend car.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, boss/friend of what type of company? Those are great toys.

Its Chinese factory owner type stuff. I work directly with the owners son who is only 30 years old mind you. He also has a Aston Martin, and a supercharged 5.0L mustang. He recently sold his Lamborghini.

Interesting! He seems to have great taste in transportation!

If you don't need the extra space and comforts, the Supra is the way to go. It's probably the last 4 wheel relatively lightweight BMW ever made. Bonuses are that you see a lot less on the road than 3 series, M3 etc and gets great gas mileage. Actually, very few cars out there look like it. The problem though is that everyone seems to want to race you
