Miami has a lot of rocks at the last turn. I noticed a lot more chips there than Sebring.
So true! And we’re bunched up way more on Homestead. Sebring is my home track and has twice the space, distance. Definitely not as crowded. Hope to see you there this weekend! I’m going to get er dun (the new windshield) after this weekend. Next cool season, October on, I’ll stick to Sebring and do Daytona 1x with Chin.

I disagree. The higher end coilovers also disagree.

Disclaimer: I've used all sorts of coilovers and lower priced coilovers serve their purpose, as do high-end. We live in a great time. :)
Rock is right in that my old track cars were so brutal. So I’m shocked how good these Ohlins feel on street and preform on track. Spot on recommendation Bryan!

Yessir! It’s a mess 😂 But get it for those into partying & drinking their asses off. No hotels around for a 120 mile radius. I had two buddies racing in it. So the wife, daughter and I slept at their “camp” on track. It was really fun following friends. But haven’t been back since. I love going when there’s just us track rats and lots of elbow room. However, if you like the partying scene, it’s definitely a sight to see.

I take it back. There’s a really high end scene $$$ near the paddocks and the “infield“ for total mayhem. You have the heritage and most car brands there you can interact with, access to company engineers & tons of vendors. It’s worth going to at least once if you’ve never been.

That's awesome! I do goto WGI IMSA race time to time and it's fun as well as learn what they do. sometimes I learn more watching pro driving when they follow "real" racing lines than ideal racing line.

Anyone else tracking ever get an upgraded CV joint rear axel boot kit for their Supras? Or replace them with OEM annually? Mine are mega worn looking, some leaking. Just curious 🤨

I have a back up axle and rear diff because it is a little loose in a couple places on passenger side. Going to run it until failure.

23,000 almost all track miles in 3 years and I can smell my first failure coming....

Smart grasshopper! I’d like to buy a boot kit. I’ll hit up @FuzzyRev85 and see if he knows the part. Couldn’t find it on the Toyota website. Thx 🙏🏼

How are they getting worn? I swear you go through some odd things on your car, lol.

Those bastards don't offer a boot, clamp & grease kit at this point. I'm trying to do a reverse cross-reference and see if I can come up with something on the OE BMW or aftermarket side...

So is interesting as I just noticed mine starting to throw grease and was looking for something. Mine is at around 20k/ 70 track days with a little over 2 years. They do not look torn but appear to be leaking where the champs are. So would be interested in what others find out if. There is a boot kit or you have to go the axel route.

So question for autox. Have my first one for the season tomorrow but I also very novice. Had a question for tire pressure. For the stock tires, I was reading online that a good place to start cold was 29/30 PSI. For anyone that's done autox with the stock tires, where'd you start and relatively like to keep the car? Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the high 50s for temperature and cloudy. Might get anywhere from 5 to 7 runs in. I know that's a super subjective question haha just don't know how to really ask what I'm asking.

Hopefully the course you are running on is smooth. The stock tires like to lose big chunks on rough courses. If its 50° out, I would start at around 28 psi. 30 psi warm seemed to be the sweet spot for them.

That is not a bad starting place. Check once you come off and see how much heat they build. In general probably do not want to be higher than 35 hot. Also look at how far the wear line is rolling over to the edge. If you are not rolling the edges too far over then are in the right space. The stock ones I would guess only build about 5 psi Under the short auto x runs. Track session can build 10 to 12 additional pounds on track tires. Talk to others and see what they are doing as well.
