That part broke because your downpipe v-band is installed incorrectly and the arm is hitting it. Surprised you get full boost. Clock the v-band so that the bolt isn’t in the path of the waste gate articulation.
Huh, yup. You're right on the money. I didn't look that closely at it. I think you're right.

These cars don't have the loss of time while shifting that manual trans cars do. Feel free to shift all you need to, you won't loose any time. Plus these cars die out up top, so the shift into the torque curve will probably help.
So if I'm understanding correctly, keep my RPMS in the lower half? So that in most autocross situations favor 3rd gear?

Not necessarily, but if you need to shift, it's okay to do so. MT people try to limit shifts because of time lost. Supras don't really have that problem. Especially if the added acceleration is needed.

For anyone who hasn't been to LVMS, here's the video from my fastest lap. So many bobbles... so many places to make up some time....so many chances to have the class record. AAAARRRRGGGHHH. I wish I had known I was that damned close.

Our lines seriously looked the same! And you were going way slow through those 2 turns I was talking about. Don't know how you beat me so bad! Haha

If I could clean up those two bobbles, fix my line into turn 4, enter 7 the way I wanted, and get some aero, I'm calling 1:55.xxx LOL
If you want to send me your vid, I can try to edit a side-by-side to see where the differences were.

It really is amazing what these cars can do. If you guys have the Garmin you can “friend” each other and compare laps. Tons of overlay & data. I watched a buddy absolutely flying through a spot on Homestead that I just need to grow bigger balls ⚽, yet I make up the time on other places. Great feature of the Catalyst. Besides the coaching through optimal laps.

That’s great you saw that! Will get it looked at immediately. Thanks Bryan ?

I like the Garmin, but $1000 is another set of tires or two track days. ?

True! I waited until I couldn’t stand it anymore. Probably a fad down here. But if you find a lot of guys are using it, the ability to see each others times and do data overlay (if you choose to friend accept) is incredible. Also, the optimal lap time coaching is better than I anticipate. I used to just look at the data until I watched @1slow_mk5 videos on YouTube and could hear he’s using the coaching via the car‘s speakers. You could do ear buds as well.

I just need to put down some better lap times (or put a pro in the seat) so we all can data overlay some better sectors in our Supras. It’s so much fun to see the oh hell no moments, he didn’t go that fast in turn 10 at Homestead ? kinda thing. Then the next time I go out and can improve. Adds to the whole experience imo. Can you tell I’m not going to make it until next October ?

If I knew a bunch of people that had one, that would be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don't know of any people in my area, that go to my race tracks, that run them.

If I did it all over again, I would absolutely not spend $1k on the Garmin. I think if you are a newb to track days then it would be very helpful but I've found for me, it's just a really expensive lap timer. The fact that there is no OBD2 car data connection is just stupid for how much it costs.

If I did it again, I would buy the AIM Solo DL unit that has CAN/OBD2 connection.

I was doing an after track inspection on my car last night. Decided to bleed the brakes again since I was having a really odd issue at the track. The brakes were shaking the car like none other once warm. Thought it was a bad bedding in problem at first. As the day at the track went on, it got better (less shaking) but my pedal kept getting softer and lower. Anyways, I vacuum bled the brake system again and saw a nice bubble come out. My brake pedal is finally back to normal! Pretty sure my rear brakes were only doing 50% of what they should have. This would also explain why the front ABS was kicking in super easy.

So question to you guys. Would a bubble in the system cause the brakes to get shaky? Or should I still be thinking this was a bedding in issue? Going to try to get back on the track in 3 weeks to see if its all good or not.

I bought my garmin used for $600. Im lazy so I like the all in one abilities. I have video and data overlay for reviewing. I can also compare instantly vs friends and other fast cars thanks to online database.

what data do you need from canbus that will make you faster? just curious because if its throttle and brakes well your positive/ negative data shows you brake and throttle for the most part.
Im no pro, its simple and easy to understand and at used prices it makes sense to me.
