So I just watched this new video by The Lemon Factor and their Supra made a whopping 423 hp TO THE WHEELS! Eventuri in their before and after dyno test for their intake showed a stock one also laying out 423 hp and 441 hp with their intake on a stock tune. What’s your alls thoughts on this? Why wouldn’t Toyota advertise their cars being as powerful as they really are? If it’s 423 to the wheels then it’s easily making 440-450ish at the crank so that 382hp figure they give makes no sense. Does the Z4 return similar figures? Lemme know your alls thoughts!

most car companies state their performance cars a lower number than what the car actually makes, and dyno numbers vary on a number of things just because a place got a certain figure you wouldn’t get the exact same on a different dyno test so take it how you will from these results

Very true, I did find it interesting that two different from two different dynos showed it in the 420 hp range while others show it at 405 to 410 hp.

Stock DCT F80 has around 430 WHP and traps about 120 1/4 mile ~3650 lbs
Stock A90 traps ~117ish but is ~300 lbs lighter , so it should make in the ball park of 390-400 WHP
This.

a 420 whp 3350 lbs Supra should have a higher trap than 115-117. Doesn’t add up to me

That’s the best way to determine hp ratings since dynos can be set up in different ways with drastic differences.

Hmmm, interesting. Hopefully, I'll have some time to put mine on the dyno.

1. Could be a gentleman's agreement to not completely eat into bmws sales. 2. BMWs always under value their power.

His 1/4 Mile trap speeds were 114 and 115. He dyno'd this car on the world happiest dyno. It's a 380ish whp car

Underrating hp numbers equates to higher sales volumes, due to lower insurance premiums.

I just watched his other video where he showed the dyno sheet at the end.

If these 23' numbers are in the ballpark of being correct, what did they change between the 21'/22s and the 23' model years? I know what changed between 20' and 21'/22', and the resulting differences in whp.
I get it that no two dynos are the same but I haven't seen any stock 21'/22' put down more than 400whp.
what am I missing?
