So after much deliberation.... I've decided to come back to the Supra. I figured if there was ever some S58 edition that came out... My custom build would destroy it in the straights and on the track anyways. So fuck that trim if it ever does come into fruition. Plus B58 support is ridiculous compared to the S58.

Hearing about how these manuals disintegrate with loads outside factory specifications... AND it not having any aftermarket support outside of a clutch (thanks @zrk)... I have put an order in for another automatic. Seems like the ZF manual is not an option for people looking for substantially more performance from the platform.

Stratosphere is the color option I'm going with. I have always loved the Royal Sapphire Pearl from the A80 and this seems to be the exact same color.

I've been lucky enough to drive many different cars at different build levels in all different configurations/power (transmission-wise straight cut sequentiels, to DCT, to manual and automatics). I was blown away by the ZF the first time I drove it. We have a 2020 shop Supra here that I drive most of the summer and I absolutely love it and the AT. I think you made a great choice with a great car and the AT is excellent on this car. I prefer it over many of the DCT's I've driven which are often more of a pain in many ways

Very curious about what you've learned from the first build and plan to do differently the second time around?
I will definitely not fool with "stop gap" mods (i.e. new intake and other bullshit like that) and not compromise on any handling aspects of the build. The direction will still be the same. Street focused powerhouse that is a jack of all trades and master of none.

Hell yeah! Your original build was absolutely amazing and your attention to detail is next level! Looking forward to seeing this next one!

Question regarding the insurance check you got from the accident….did it cover most of the mods? or did you get screwed? I’ve never considered this before but I’m sure you had like $20-30k into that build. For it to get totaled and only get paid out for the stock value of the car would suck! Wasn’t sure how all that plays out when mods on a street car are as extensive as what you had into your original build.

I’ve heard others mention recently Hagerty and I really need to consider something like that myself. I’m closer to the dollars you’re talking about but nowhere near Mimosa’s beautiful build. But thanks to him, definitely got me thinking more realistically.

Everything was covered besides cost of labor. But documentation and receipts were needed. They are not going to take your word for it.

Which manuals have disintegrated?
