The amount of melted rubber (my tires and others) from heat is insane. I swear you could cook an egg ? on these FL tracks. Regardless, y’all are making me want to get the temp gun out and start checking the inner outer and middle to see the differences next time I’m out there.

Are you considering running more camber?
Well it happened, 85 degrees hot track and been pushing harder lap times coming down. My PSSs look like Razorlab's even started making some funny noises. After 20min I could feel the car sliding in a few turns and VSC at work.

I don't know how Nankang did it but they made an already great tire even better. All the little things I had criticisms with the V1 version of the CRS they ironed out with V2, and then some.

Went to Palmer yesterday, first track day with the new CRS V2. Even on the highway drive to the hotel I could immediately notice a difference. Gone is the plushness of the CRS V1 and now the tires feel slightly nervous on the highway, like most other performance tires.

First session in the morning, the tires need a little more than the V1 to warm up, but we are talking maybe half a lap after your first warm up lap compared to the V1. The slight numbness right off center is gone. Gone is the vague steering response. The V2 have more grip, somehow. The V2 take longer to overheat.

I loved the V1 CRS and now I love the V2 CRS. I want to stockpile sets of them in my basement!

All of the improvements help a ton with driving confidence. If you have watched my previous Palmer videos and my Lime Rock videos, it's pretty apparent I do not drive Palmer close to as hard as I do at Lime Rock. I am leaving time on the table, and for now, I am okay with that. Plus, we have to remember @nibble called it the most dishonest track in the North East. So take that into account as well, whatever that means. ;)

All that said. Even with catching up to two cars that slowed me down, I best my personal best time by almost one full second. Didn't even feel like I was pushing the car much at all.

Very impressed with these tires!

Supra gang. The Massachusetts afternoon sun making it look like all our bumpers are horribly paint matched. We all set PB's yesterday. All three of us did the same 1:45.XX lap times and all within 1/10ths of a second.

Forgot to add the data plots, you can see were the V2's are giving me more confidence and higher grip in some key sections on track.

Damn! I should have gone to that instead of Thompson lol. So many Supras!

The V2s sound incredible. Very tempting.
Not for me don’t like the twitchy nervous thing on the highway.

It's all relative! Notice I stated "slightly nervous". I state that in contrast to how the V1's are like driving on pillows. Now the CRS V2 feel more like other performance tires like the RT660, etc.

My Supra is still a great highway car for it's track capabilities. Also keep in mind I am running an aggressive track alignment. -3.8 front camber, -2.4 rear camber, toe-in on both ends.

Just read through this whole thread, and it's fantastic!

When you spoke of the highway nervousness a few posts back, I immediately thought, "oh, I know that feeling," and now you mention RT660s, which is exactly what I've got on the SM-10s. Simply sneeze and you might change lanes
