Verus is very very good. It is wind tested and makes a difference for my laps.
100% redo the verus diffuser bolts- known issue.

Caution my Supra brothers to think about what the actual benefit of spending $$1000's on the latest aero ? you have to be near the tip of the spear for it to matter Verus vs XX
swan necks look very cool and i absolutely would love to have one. But it is not going to drop my time by more than a fraction.
seat time seat time seat time is the key to dropping time. respectfully .02
Im so cheap i spend money on track time and so I am still on stock suspension w just camber plates for example. going to ask Santa for mcs coil overs and a manifold!! :)

Your kids will benefit from your sacrifice. When they are older make them Pit crew!!

made me look back at my history.... im at 25 track days so far this year. Been slow this month with the heat and vaca but will add a bunch more starting w VIR at end of this month and then typical fall schedule thru October :) I don't care about my kids ;)

Been there, done that. It sucks... but man, kids grow up so damn fast. My daughter is 14 and starting high school next year. I feel like I was changing her diapers yesterday, now she's almost 6-feet tall!

It'll all still be here when you have more time, and once your kid is old enough you can bring them with!
I would love to bring my kid to the track and he would love to ride along in the car but he is only turning 5 tomorrow so its going to be a while. Future pit crew for sure as he already loves working on cars!

Start him early on carting! Kid will be winning competitions before he has a drivers license.

Seriously though, 5 is a great age. Old enough to be over most of the toddler stuff, but young enough to think you're the greatest person in the world. 5-11 or so is fun. At age 12 the crazy kicks back in. I'd give up my car and everything else in the world if I could go back and redo that period in my daughter's life. Her mother made things a living hell and I wasn't able to see my girl as much as I wanted.

Back when the local speedway was still open and I did auto-x, they had the karts running next to the auto-x track. It was always funny to see the little kids running the karts. They looked like little bobble heads in a Mario Kart. Its on my list to get him into it but now I dont know where they do the events since they closed down the speedway. I am sure if I asked around, I could find something local. I will try to enjoy him at this age but he is freakin wild! Hopefully his mom stays civil and I can continue on with 50/50.

I remember seeing this often at SCCA AutoX back when I lived in Colorado. Maybe they have something in your area?

I hope your ex stays civil too brother. It took about 2 years after the separation for my ex to start using our daughter as a weapon. Her family is largely to blame. Not something I would wish on my worst enemy.

T-Minus 3weeks to Road Atlanta. Daniel @ PhD is trying to get me into the last set of bronze TS-5s and '22 CRS compound.

On the fence because my indecisive nature when I have the devil on my shoulder saying, "Fuck it. Enjoy life. Go fast." and an angel saying, "Go on vacation."

it's more about saving $1000's by using the latest aero:

Verus wing:
$2.2k
NLR wing, that can be expanded into dual element later:
~$1k

Verus splitter with tunnels:
$2.1k

777 splitter with tunnels:
~$1k

the Verus is legit from experience. I can carry 10mph more up through VIR Esses and 7 mph on my home track Esses for example

Will eagerly await the data from the new products

I'm not planning on adding any significant aero for at least another 15-20 track days.

That said,

Yeah I think Rich mentioned the Zebulon swan neck setup with the 3d end plate is around $4k
The ME in me is geeking out right now.

FYI, I heard a rumor that a certain well known aero company may be teasing a new swan neck wing this week for our cars...

Also remember the Supra is mighty capable without aero. I did a 0:59 at Lime Rock with no aero and stock 2020 power, on 200tw tires.

That said, depending on what you like, adding aero made the car more enjoyable to drive because it makes it much more forgiving and as I have told you in the past, just the added stability under braking is almost worth the entry price. Aero really turns the Supra into a weapon.

That ride you gave me was a real eye opener. Believe me, I remember everything you said about it!

The stability under braking, especially at LRP on the entry to Big Bend would be very nice lol.

I am jealous of how much you guys can hit the track. Being a single dad makes it super hard for me to hit all the events since most weekends seem to fall on the ones I have my kid. I will take what I can get though. I think I have at least 2 more events planned for this year, possibly 3 and all at tracks I have never been to.
I hardly did ANYTHING until my my kid turned 18 and finished high school. Now he's pretty much self-sufficient so I'm living my best life at (finally 49yo). 1999-2018 had me broke as f**k and no real time to hit the track. 😂
Sadly, he doesn't share my excitement for cars. He's a computer guy.

You're doing it all wrong. I sacrifice my underwear and food budgets to go racing AND vacation. 😂😂😂 In fact, I've been to Germany to drive the 'Ring and I'm headed to Magny Cours for my birthday to drive a 2011 Williams FW33. It's just about what we decide are priorities. My clothes are very old and my daily driver sucks. LOL

@Evolution is able to things I never can without aero on the car. It is definitely worth it, without a doubt. We will always be faster WITH it than we would ever be without it. :headbang:
