So I'm assuming folks will be able to easily move into the 11's with a JB4, map 6 tune, grippy tires, DP, and a decent driver?
I don't really see why not. JB4 can push 470whp+ on e30/dp. I'll be giving that a try soon enough.

You're on a MT, right? I'd be very surprised if you're not spinning after slamming into gears!

All kidding aside, good luck sir and keep going with the DIY map 6 tune. Looks like you're making good progress.

I actually got it running near perfect as of this week! running 20psi on 93 no problem, just need to fine tune at this point. I usually drive the car in traction mode, you'd be surprised how well it actually hooks due to longer gears than auto.

The spin is minimal when accelerating in a straight

I installed my AMS Catted Downpipe combined with the JB+ car is alot more responsive and louder on sport mode with stock exhaust. Only using 93 premium. So far no issues to report just a grin on my face at full open throttle.
Same as me, then I made the E mix and it woke it up even more. No issues to report so far

I ran at max setting all summer. In the fall upon startup after refueling I got a CEL. The code was "Implausible MAF for Throttle position" which I assume was boost on start-up. It cleared on its own and did not leave a permanent code in the DME after a few starts. Going in for servicing so removed the JB+. Plan to put it back in for the good weather.

Do you think the JB+ was responsible?

Likely yes along with the cold dense air with the change of season. It happened at start-up when the throttle body is usually open just a crack. The JB+ is a variable resistor that increases boost at all times no mapping. Too much boost was detected for a throttle body that was barely open. It has to be the JB+ along with the cold dense air. It didn't happen for 6months and 10K miles on the max setting during the warm weather. Obviously I'm just hypothesizing but those are my thoughts. Good news it it clears quick on its own and leaves no permanet code.

Interesting. Other than that, JB+ all good?

Hey man, I notice you're pretty apprehensive about the JB+. I really think you would prefer the JB4 instead due to logging capabilities. You could see right away if your car is happy with the device or fighting it. Rather than just hoping that everything is running right.

You can still run the JB4 at lower boost levels like the JB+, and if it throws a code, you will know exactly why in the log.
