I took this whole video with a grain of salt. Not only did I predict the outcome, but that MKIV was the only modified one in the bunch. They may have felt differently about a stock one, but I doubt it.
I have no experience with a bone stock mark four Supra, but I hear they are less than fun to drive.
I do see they almost pull 1G on a skid pad. That's pretty nice, but they don't transition well and are underwhelmingly powered.

I've owned 5 MKIV, 2 autos and 3 6sp from stock to 1200HP. I wouldn't consider a stock 6sp anything close to 'less than fun'. Quite the contrary as It's a fantastic car, especially in the context of the period. They are not fast by today's standards and the suspension (especially 97+) is soft. The sequential powerband is a bit funky with a deadspot of TQ just before the 2nd turbo comes online. However, driving a stock Supra is silly given you can pick up 100WHP with just a downpipe, exhaust and boost controller with completely stock reliability.

It feels so weird to see A80 without a wing. Can you please put one on or at least have the decency to photoshop it in 🤣🤣

You kinda just supported my comment :) as for modified: don't care. We were discussing stock MKIVs.

Donut is known for catering to their "purists" and those stubborn on the past. They did an episode on the best Honda Civics. How is the new FL5 not on the top of the list even though it broke the front wheel drive record around the Nurburgring and the most powerful Civic Type R to date? Oh that's right! Because it doesn't appeal to their audience and because most people got into Hondas through the EG or EK. How's that saying go? If you live in the past, you die in the past?

Reread the sentence before that and take a moment to process it. It's a 30 year old platform so of course its going to have its idiosyncrasies like all cars of that period. It's still a fantastic car to drive, even in stock form. A pleasure I've had the fortune of owning/experiencing and something you never will.

And the Viper was the original "clown shoe" so you've been misguided by parroting the royal we for the 2nd time in this thread. 🤡

Idk, I have never been a big fan of the 3000GT.

You and most everyone else... 🤣

Terribly underappreciated and generally misunderstood platform, but the epitome of peak 90's excess. I've owned a bunch of them but that one in particular was my swan song -- black/black '99 VR-4.

I liked both the MKIV Supras in F&F and 2F2F (both orange lol) but my favorite was definitely Brian's GTR.

I used to wait for my dad to go pick up my mum from the station to be home alone and just blast the dvd (I even had it on VHS!) and hear the car sounds really loud, especially the green Eclipse scene.

I'm a sucker for looks and the MKV got me with its looks first. I fell in love with it when I first saw one years ago and didn't even know at the time it was a Z4 underneath.

I'm happy and prefer the MKV, I just wish I could have had a louder stock exhaust / no OPF and the full fat B58 like US spec and that would have been perfection - and yes I'm weird, just plugging in a JB4 doesn't do it for me, it's not the same thing, it's like cheating, I want the real thing not some plug in shit.

Since were talking old JDM, if I could have another special car to be a garage queen it would be in this order:
NSX
RX-7
3000 GT

ooh, I touched a nerve. I see you own a MKIV, so trust me: I get it.

ahem...

Owned, 5x

Get this - I sold my last one at an astronomical profit. So much so that it covered the cost of the car, the multiple builds and all of the racing over the years and then some.

Nice! I can cut off nine fingers and still count the times I came out ahead on a sale.
I'm convinced building cars is actually a curse. 🤣

Don't the Euro-spec cars have the MY 2020 2 port and tune which doesn't play that well with JB4 as compared to the 6-port? Or was I hearing some false rumors?
