From the info that is available thus far, I don't see it happening.. but we'll see what the aftermarket is able to do with this car and what influence it has on the tuner scene (as MKIV did in late 90's / early 00's)....all I'm saying is get ready for MKV's to eventually walk over MKIV's.
I also think the GT-R analogy is misleading. The R35 is a complete different animal, but it didn't walk over the R34. First of all the R35 is not even available as a manual. And at least Nissan built the drivetrain themselves.
Its pretty sad for such a big corporation such as Toyota to use someone elses drivetrain in their flagship sportscar. We waited nearly 20 years for this marginally better (or in some cases worse) sportscar?
