The way those rotors and calipers are filling the 19" wheel, I think those are actually the 395mm discs/calipers, not the 374mm disc/calipers (supra has 348mm discs stock)

348mm = Stock supra
374mm = M340i M-performance upgrade, also standard on 750i/X5, upgrade option on 840i/740i/540i
395mm = Standard on X6/X7/M850i, Upgrade option on X5/750i

All 4 pot calipers. 6 pot is reserved for full fat M cars.

Very cool. And def 19" or above only.

BTW, I am going to be test fitting the 374mm upgrade here on my supra shortly!
Subbed for 374 upgrade, as I was considering this myself :) Should be P&P mostly.
Wonder how the brake feel will change or will be there any improvement in stopping distance...

Once official specs for GRMN Supra released, I eagerly await the tuner shops which will provide same or similar performance upgrades (absent S58) to match performance. 😊

The manuals were never limited. They just cut production/ slow. Toyota isn't all the sudden going to start to taking specific orders.
Exaclty! Cut production to keep prices elevated. Toyota happy and stealerships happy.

I know the 6MT was s not limited as I have one incoming :)

The context I had was hoping for this ‘special’ model to be unlimited on paper (highly unlikely)

They probably cut production because they don't want a repeat of the a80 and have shit sales at the end of its life cycle.
Exactly. Student of history, good point. I also think Toyota did it because they knew interest rates were rising 2022-2024 and with higher payments, less people buying. Less people buying also equals less sales numbers so values tank. Very well played by Toyota 👏

Come on now. Toyota is a business. You think they care about is and not shareholders and revenue? I'm not hating on them.
This.
We are a means to an end.
All that matters to Toyota is ROS, earnings, shareholders, and stock value.
All you clowns that think Toyota sits around the board room crying about the ‘enthusiast’ are kidding yourselves.

There is more new bmw mcars sitting on lots than mkv supras better value and more desirable. It does seem like they are manufacturing them in a lower volume. Demand still seems high asf.

so let me try and understand you right. You are saying Toyota is a business and in their eyes the best option is to cut production so that Toyota dealers get a bigger profit, that doesn’t go to Toyota corporate? Wouldnt proper business sense to be producing as many cars as they can sell? Clearly demand is outweighing production now. I could see cutting production because you have 500-1000 units sitting on lots nation wide, but at one point there were as few as 3 Supras sitting on lots to be sold in the whole country. (Based on some salesman on here posting, if true)

Good business seems to make more cars, not make less so a dealership has means to charge markup.

Exactly right. Has nothing to do with (lack of) demand. Just about every one that comes in is already sold. Production is just slow. Pandemic, wars, economy, you name it. My GRC took 18 months, and that's the hottest thing on the planet right now.

Again Toyota probably doesn't want a repeat of what happened in the 90s when Japan's economic bubble popped. We aren't exactly in a great economic environment with all that's going on. Japan's yen is weak not like investments are poring into the country. Why risk it on a niche vehicle.

This exactly. Why push it. They are an incredibly successful business.

Another take - Rumors on tracks galore about them increasing their stake in the racing scene. Tons of Toyota money going in. BMW is watching closely. It’s a great marriage they have. Can‘t blame them for not đŸ’© ‘ing in your own back yard with this Supra. She was slightly designed for the track and heavily marketed so. Did they know a few mods would make this car so capable or so many tuners would jump on board? Who knows
 But now we have a GR86 Cup, Subaru isn’t interested going that path. BMW definitely races. Thus our Supra is caught in the middle.

Long rant for simply not abusing that relationship. I think & hope there is more to come from the both of them. I can’t think of a single BMW that is faster than our Supra on track (tires and proper setup a given). Yet there is no denying she’s a BMW. Ouch
 That has to hurt a bit. This is an incredibly low price point for a BMW track car đŸ€« Tread lightly Toyota. I personally don’t want Lexus LFA pricing (solo development cost) for the next Supra.
