This is the first car I've tracked. What kind of symptoms do you feel or how does the car start to change when you feel the diff starting to go?

Also can you link what you buy for trans and diff fluid?
Well…. The reports of my demise may be premature….

I know the diff is struggling. Fluid is shiny and the passenger axle can be wiggled.

BUT
Some other Supra guys said to top off fuel before time trial. Did not repeat and was able to smash my personal best.

Duh! Sorry. So when you drive like an animal you will fuel starve at Summit Main in 6-7 even at 3/4 full!!

Out of curiosity has anyone used rear OEM wheels for the front to use as a square set up??
I know tire selection was a big determinant for me. There’s a shit ton of 275/35 (or 40)-18 rubber out there. If you‘re still on stock suspension, that’ll help as well - not being lowered.

I can confirm...Billy was indeed quick at Summit Pt. this weekend. I finally met Billy in person, as well as a bunch of other Supra guys who may/may not be on here (Wilbur, Tristan, etc.)

I put one of my LeMons teammates in my car, and we pretty much hot-lapped it all weekend, numerous back-to back sessions in an attempt to kill my Conti ECS02 tires I had left over from OneLap. I've been spoiled running R-comps and good 200TW tires for years, so the compromise tires for OLOA were a conscious decision for the event...but boy do they SUCK for 30 min DE sessions. They simply do not have the mechanical grip of ANY of the Super-200 tires, so the things you THINK you should be able to do (dial in X amount of steering angle at Y speed to make your apex), you can't. I was a mile off apexes all weekend until I bled off more speed.

The only positive thing I'll say about the Contis from this weekend is that they are VERY consistent with how they handle heat. Since I knew we'd be doing a bunch of back to back sessions, I started at 28psi cold, and never saw over 37psi hot (drivers front). The TPMS did report some hilarious tire temps, though - 147deg for the drivers front was the highest, but we'd see 144-145 consistently at the end of a session.

We threw a phone and a GPS puck in the car on Sunday and recorded one of my co-driver's sessions. He managed a 1:25.somethng, never having driven the car before Saturday, and not having a whole lot of experience overall. My job these days is helping these guys (my LeMons teammates) develop as drivers, so I'm happy to see them progress.

It was great chatting with a bunch of Supra guys... got talked into doing NASA TT at last min (why I always bring a charged transponder) so I didn't have a lot of time to meet all the new guys. Def a good bunch of guys including Tom

Hey guys. Trying to find information on the CRS tire in the rain. I could swear somebody has commented on it, particularly in this thread. My search is coming up empty.
Cliff notes?
Headed to Chuckwalla in December and wondering if I should run my track tires or just swap to the OEM stuff.

I've driven the CRS in East Coast monsoons and needed a couple whiskeys once I reached my destination. I didn't die. As long as you drive conservative and are okay with the car leaping lanes five feet from concrete barriers when hitting standing water, you will be just fine. ;)

This was full tread. If you are less than full tread, make sure you have 911 on speed dial.

I don't drive the car on the street, but I assume it will be just as bad on course.

Does it rain in December...in Socal... towards Chuckwalla... which is desert? I mean I did not check average rain drop in that area over the years but intuitively I would not expect much rain.

It does not rain in socal, ever. You should know this. These next 4 days of forecasted rain is just a simple glitch in the matrix.

@kaj - hit me up on your way back if you need a rest stop. You will be passing right by me.
