Always appreciate your more level-headed approach to sharing information. BTW, we met for a split second once a couple years back when I had my Evo 10 on the dyno at Street Tuning Performance.there's absolutely nothing wrong with DI only setups pending you stay within the limits of the HPFP. depending on a persons power goal DI can suffice and be fine.
My recommendation is if you even think that at some point you may want more than 700-800whp just get PI. Port injection while it does add 6 more injectors, is the easiest way to not have to worry about cutting fuel to help the HPFP. While there are some hidden benefits of DI, when dealing with race fuel or Ethanol, those benefits are lessened.
Ether way, it takes fuel to make power. So as long as the DI or PI setup supports your goal, they are both fine.
I like PI because it can support whatever i want without cutting the fuel. And i find it to be even a little less expensive than the DI upgrades needed to support a fraction of the power that PI does. But again, not everyone wants all the power. and DI only can work for those owners.
