i would suggest contacting them. I never got that far. I reached them through their IG back when I was going to do it. i wasnt referring to FEMTO offering shipping; although based on your cart it looks they will ship back and bill you. I was saying Bimmer owners on Bimmerpost have used UPS and DHL with success. The hand delivered thru EPC is obviously safest but who would use anything else; do u think it if happened to get lost by another vendor they would do much more than refund you anyway? If you place insurance and ship yourself you can dispute and get your insurance money from UPS so just make sure you cover w enough insurance to buy a replacement DME if you are worried. WO insurance shipping looks to be around $90 each way from Florida using UPS world saver at small 10lbs box.
to place into perspective; thats like $850 all in before insurance and in 10 business days along w nailbiting fear and some prayers (Femto says they unlock and ship back in an avg. of 3 business days) you have an unlocked DME lol thats HALF the cost of the hand delivered EPC route. Worth it (w insurance) IMO. PS ask Femto what amount of insurance to declare because I read on Bimmerpost that above a certain amount gets flagged by customs and someone on there said FEMTO told them the max amount of insurance to avoid the headache.

As a 6MT owner, was it worth it going Femto BM3 with E50 as in fast and fun or still not fast enough?
How fast is fast enough? that is a personal question. I feel like everyone gets use to certain power levels. Nothing should hold you back from progressing to a bigger turbo, clutch, port injection and such with the BM3 flex fuel kit as far as I know.

For me I am satisfied with the current power on that exact set up. I dont need a clutch replacement and can beat most daily red light traffic. Stock to this setup is night and day faster. It just depends on what you're comparing it to.

He asked "is it still not fast enough"? Which I dont know what he is comparing fast to? Does he want to hit a certain track time, beat certain cars, do certain things, idk. Thats why I asked "how fast is fast engouh"?

I'm honestly just getting tired of the Mustangs, Chargers and Challengers who pull up to me wanting to race or who try bullying me when I'm just cruising on the highway. I don't need a KLM or top mount turbo. I just don't want to get beat anymore by those stupid ass cars. Basically is the BM3, downpipe and E50 fast enough to beat those heavier cars? I don't care about being the fastest car on the road.

How's your clutch holding up so far?

Just fine but I've only put 4k miles on the car in 6 months. My commute is far and usually get home so tired I dont drive it. End of the day, if I have to put a clutch in it, cool... I'll do that and start considering an upgraded turbo and tune.

I'm surprised this happens often to you. I live near Costa Mesa and I've yet to be challenged/bullied by other cars on the highway (maybe I just look slow and am not worthy lol). I drive up and down the 5 often for work. There's always going to be other cars that are faster than yours, so I would caution against chasing power just for this reason. You'll inevitably encounter a Mustang/Charger/Challenger that's still faster in a straight line after all your upgrades.

I had a 2019 5.0 and I know for a fact my car will smoke it hands down. Stock and FBO Mustangs, Chargers, and Challengers will not have a chance. Supercharged cars... That's where you'll start having trouble in the MT. Your car should beat those cars heads up stock anyway. 500 whp in these little cars run very good on the street.

Right around 500. I haven't made it to the dyno yet because I've been wrapping the car. Should get it on there in the next couple of weeks.

Has anyone got a link to the Spec Clutches for the A90? I'm probably being dense, but I can only find Mkiv Supra ones?

Yeah man and my car is pretty stock except for a downpipe, and aftermarket exhaust. No wing, no spoiler or anything cosmetic. The bullying attempts happen more often when I visit clients in the Inland Empire, but in Orange County it happens less often. Just had a stock V8 Challenger pull up to me on the 55fwy egging me to race while I was just crusing to work early this morning. And for the record when I say wanting to race, I mean pull up to me and wanting me to put the window down or line it up at 60. These stories are probably the worst thing I hate about having a stock MKV. I've had countless experiences like these including old fixed up Mercedes sedan V8s, F80s etc.
