Booo, i was just thinking of the sheer girth of diffuser tunnels we can shove in there if the coolers wasn't in the way of 3.0 builds, way more than this:

you could take the aux cooler out and easily run a bigger main rad, lines, and pump to beef up cooling considerably. Or you could add an oil cooler and delete the aux rad since that would decrease the load on it.

Any non-oem style splitter would be illegal in GLTB Street class, though

If stock exhaust is good for 450whp for track or does it have EGT limiting problems.
And weight reduction worth on this car, mostly taken out from the back.
Also i cant measure oil so I wonder if thats a sensor only issue or oil pump is dying, but this one got ignored ?

There were times when I couldn't measure my oil due to high temps, the idrive system would stop at 20% or so. I would turn off the engine, and wait 5-10 minutes to start it back up, and it would measure fine.

- The oil pump normally does not exceed 5.5 bar under wot
- normal oil pressure at idle is 2.3-2.7 bar
- you can check the above through bimmerlink to verify
- BMW part number 11419895359 (new pump which the housing is supposedly all metal compared to plastic) Some speculate they changed to this newer pump around the year 2021. "

Kinda. We checked with toyo mechanic through parts list, its different and def smaller, the unit itself is overall different in b48. Maybe 50% is exegerating but def looked smaller on diagrams. My eu spec car also had none of the side rads.

I checked, my EU spec oil pump number is already the upgraded one, seems like all EU 3.0's came witht the "metal" one according to parts numbers, there was no change since 2019. Will see if its just the sensor + will see if there are any abnormal pressue fluctuations in memory.

Anyone switch from divorced rear coilover to true coilover? Any concerns with the additional stress on the rear chassis top mounts? I think you start running out of higher spring options with a divorced setup and motion ratio.

I’d imagine all the GT4 Supras use true coilover but not sure if they added additional bracing.

i am going true coil over at end of this month. will let you know if anything breaks but seriously doubt that will be weak link.

Lots of Supras with true coilover rears with no issues, myself included.

i know punching through the shock towers was a thing, but I think this hasn't been an issue since the e36/e46 days.

Yeah I think that’s more of an old chassis issue. With modern chassis, not as much of a concern. But just something in the back of my mind since we don’t have the OEM engineering data.

swift makes springs that fit rear divorces setups up that go up to 1600lb/in… I don’t think you’ll run out of spring

so that would be about 800 effective wheel rate. I’m not sure what rates people with big aero need.

For people that don’t know how to do it themselves, want the least amount of down time, find a shop that does track setups for their own cars. They will either get in the car or know from feedback.

I’m running swift springs with more df than anyone I know and I’m not at the edge of their catalog. Same for the fastest TA supra regarding spring rate.
