Yeah I saw and understand that, but Evolve is a pretty well known AND reputable shop in Europe. Don't believe that then just click the other link in that same thread where BMS dyno'd a B58 at 331hp at the wheels.
I never said that I think the B58 isn't underrated, so BMS's dyno won't prove that Evolve used proper testing methods to make their claim. I wouldnt be surprised if the B58 did actually make 372bhp but Evolve's dyno doesn't prove it

Lol I don't understand how we can blindly read articles without the burden of proof. This type of thinking is why we have anti-vaxxers

I never said these were DEFINITIVE PROOF of these motors making a certain HP number or anything, just simply more data to show that BMW underrates their engines. That's all, don't put words into my mouth!

For the graphs not crossing at 5250, probably just because they changed end axis values to fit everything on the graph.

I understand, thats why I said I am not shooting the messenger. I am just stating that their bhp claim is invalid because of the dozen factors that throw their data out the window

Well for one, yes, they increase the actual pressure applied by the clutch packs, two the zf trans is pretty tough, three a tune is less than 1k, and four, if the new Supra is going to always cost more and be less proven, then why would anyone want a new Supra if the old one is proven and cheap. It’s because I want a car I can drive everywhere and have modern conveniences while maintaining a fun driving experience.
Plus it’s a 30(?)year newer car.

I think it’s pretty exciting to see a bit of a retune can get substantial power gains.
