using whatever the autologger for jb4 is. can you share what the dataset looks like on bm3? i wonder what "transf" actually is, then.

transf was actual transmission temp when I ran a JB4 a few years ago. Maybe it's changed in a later firmware?

This^^^ bed in your dtc60/30 at night for a cool spark show. Then you know you did it right

Hmmm looking through the jb4 forums it looks like it could possibly be the (hotside) of the intercooler loop. Seems plausible, but the behavior still seems weird.
Pre intercooler charge temp? Or the actual hot water side of the intercooler? I would hope it cycles faster than that. ;)

Charge temp before intercooler looks like:

Unsure what all else would be "needed" vs "nice to have" in terms of aftermarket arms and achieving a track alignment on this platform.
I'm still running all stock suspensions arms/bushings and was able to get the alignment specs I wanted with just front camber plates.
I'm sure some of the aftermarket arms are "nice to have" if installed and set up properly but I haven't felt the need after a few years of tracking the car.

Thanks. What alignment specs are you running? I’ll be getting camber plates by default when going to coilovers but am not sure if LCA or tie rod ends are needed to achieve -3.0 to -3.5 front.

If it helps, I started at -2.5 & wore the shit out of the outer tires. Got plates and up to -3ish. Then andded adjustable LCAs with 10mm spacers to where I’m at now. Somewhere around -3.6 at stock height. I’ll still wear the outside of my tires 1st. But it takes longer and she noticeably corners better on track.

I drive all year keeping the same alignment. Bottom line, the max you can get up front without hitting anything.

I think it depends on ride height but I got 3.5 (the above sheet is in degrees and minutes) with just the plates.

First post here after moving into the Supra from an E92 M3 so go easy on me ?

Headed to Laguna for two track days in October and have my eyes on some Titan rims for the track but going to wait until the end of the year to get them. For those who have run RE71RS on the stock rims in 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 did you need a spacer up front? I will be running Verus camber plates and will aim for -3 camber up front. Thanks y'all. This thread has already been a wealth of knowledge for me on this new platform.

Welcome! If you haven’t come across this? yet, you definitely want to check it out. Loved the guide so much, I decided to buy their wheels.

Random track suggestion for anyone near Alabama. I was talking to a buddy (old teammate & friend of his) the other day. Looking up some MX5 track times for Sebring (2:25s if anyone’s interested). Anyway, came across Nathaniel’s website. I haven’t seen him in years. So…. if in his neck of the woods, checkout:

https://www.sparkperformancepark.com

And definitely say hi ?? to Sparky! One of the best drivers and guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Not an advertisement. Just saying… I’d have him setup my Supra in a heartbeat ? If I lived closer. He taught my wife how to heel & toe properly, gave me plenty of lessons (poor bastard’s life at stake), drove PBIR in my car w/out knowing the track and blew away everyone’s track times. Asked him how often he came there. He said it was his first time, lol. Kid you not.

Insanely fast, genuine, smart, way too humble imo, and knows race craft like the back of his hand.

an E9X M3 is not track ready, if you want something as track ready as a supra, be prepared to spend at least 5-6k just to get it to the Supra's level. The Supra is too soft for the track, so it needs upgrades as well, but not nearly as much as the E9X M3.

I've had one 6-7 years ago (2013 E92 ZCP), sold it for a Cayman S after 6 months. That car needs A LOT of money to make it a good track car.

I ran 255/35-19 front and 275/35-19 rear RE71RS on OEM 19x9.0 and 19x10.0 wheels without needing spacers. The tires had a fair amount of clearance to the strut housing in front and tons of room out back. I do not have camber plates, but I do have the replacement BMW/Toyota knuckles that add ~0.5degs of negative camber to the front (~-2.2 front and rear). Camber plates would help with outside fender clearance, but there is also tons of room at OEM height and wheels to the fender lips.

I'm about to throw 275/35-19 square on OEM staggered wheels (SCCA BS legal) to gain more front grip. I have an adjustable front swaybar, which helps better control the body/camber motion when on full stiff, but gets pushy that way. I'm hoping wider front tires will let me go back to full stiff for body/camber control and provide a more neutral balance while doing so.
