I got a couple quotes for full front PPF and I’d be curious to know what others are using.

So far the options are 7.5 mm miracle ppf or 8.0 mm xpel ultimate PPF. Both are self healing and will cover the hood, headlights, bumper, fenders, and mirror caps.

Miracle i was told is a new company and xpel appears to be a crowd favorite.

Thanks an advance,

I've had expel for the last 2 yrs from new, it was paint corrected before
Still looks like new
The shop warranty was also why I chose expel

Xpel on mine. Looks new after 5k mi. Definitely heals. I've seen rock indents vanish after parking the car in the under the sun on a hot day.

0.75mm and 0.8mm right? 8.0 mm is like a frikken plexiglass on storm doors.. o_O

I use Xpel on my cars, but have had good results with other higher-end (not the highest) 3M/Scotch clearbra for like 1/2 - 3/4 of the price of the Xpel Ultimate.

I went with STEK PPF - most likely among the top 2-3 brands.
Front bumper
Headlights
Hood
Doors
Side view mirrors
A pillars
Side skirts (Carbon fiber look)
Cost: about $3200

A full wrap would've added another $2000 - not worth it IMO.

Lol! Yes I clearly botched the measurement. One place told me 7.5 mm, one told me 0.08 mm, and I was sitting there thinking to myself “this cant be right”. Theres a spot local to me that will apply the xpel for a reasonable price so i think ill go that route. Although i found some scratches on my trunk and now im debating a full wrap. Itll cost a small fortune but i plan on keeping this car until the wheels fall off.

My entire Supra is wrapped in Xpel. Looks perfect after 3.5 years and 10,000 miles.

~ The cost was 6500. But don't shop just price ... secure a high quality installer and always request to see the same installers prior recent work (not just the shops work). Not all installers are created equal. This is an art imo. You'll typically get what you pay for.

The product is only as good as the installer. There are many hacks out there and the Supra is not an easy application.

THIS! I echo everything Andrew says here. I went with STEK. See my build log in my signature for specifics and scroll through the photos. I believe STEK is a tier above XPEL in my opinion. Another thing to consider, since you're doing full front PPF which I assume includes the full hood-- if you're sticking between Miracle and XPEL is make sure Miracle has PPF rolls wide enough to cover the size of our GIGANTIC hoods in 1 piece.

This is a valid point. Ive heard some places wont do the hood due to its size, and the fact the supra is already a difficult car to apply ppf to.

Mine is fully wrapped in Satin XpeL with gloss Xpel for the door darnish, A pillar, and mirror caps. If you're in Orange, CA, I wouldn't mind meeting up so you can see for yourself.

Personal experience. Use expel it's the best one out there. It does not turn yellow over time.
