yep noticed the same thing, If you baby the PSS and get on it you can get maybe 2 good laps, after that, they are done.

regarding the Goodyears, I ran them on a GT4, so you most likely can take my input with a grain of salt.

Who was at ABCC end of September if they're on the forums? I saw about a half dozen other Supras there besides my buddy and I. Just never had much of a chance to go try and go meet anyone cause I had to do the classroom stuff. Will definitely test out of de1 next go around or if I am able to make it to another track as I am definitely beyond de1.

Def need more driver mod but I was not unhappy with my performance at all compared to my buddy and where I was at for day 1. Day 2 sucked cause it was wet all day

Pagid RSL29 report card: Plenty capable track pad, but completely different feel than the CSG. Coming from the initial bite of the CSGs, the first couple of braking zones felt really strange with the Pagids. I overcooked several braking zones through the weekend trying to do what I'd have done with the CSGs. They just don't have much initial bite, and you end up using more pedal pressure/travel to stop the car. They are very linear, the release characteristics are friendly, and the wear looked to be VERY good after a 2-driver weekend at CMP, which is tough on brakes.

This looks like a good option for track days, but this is not the time attack/late brake/stand the car on its nose brake pad.

How many sessions between both drivers did you guys rack up? Did you ever track the car with the stock pads? I'm curious how they compare in bite (or lack thereof). I prefer/am used to a higher biting race pad but at stock power the OEM pads work surprisingly well, but you need to get deep into the pedal and they wear very very quickly as a result. CMP is a torture test on brakes so anything that will stop the car and wears nicely has my attention.

I will be putting on 3-way coils that are same size as stock, I may gain ~1cm clearance max from the Swift spring. Aiming for at least -3 camber on stock height, 0 lowering.

Any1 knows if I could fit 295/30 r18 (299mm thread width) in the front on stock height? Any lowering will come from the wheel/tire combo. I'd like to run 295 square...

Side note: I went for the track finally since I had no time/cash this year, so rusty but menaged to win supra class anyway :D

Said it before ? Project Mu 999s are incredible! A step above the Hawk DTC 60s (once I started pushing her even harder). I also bought CSGs, if they didn’t come in time for the season. So now I have both - after we’re done messing around with hurricanes ?

If you can get a set, give them a try. Hopefully you’ll be as pleasantly surprised as I was. Price too!!

Where did you end up getting the 999’s from? Evasive?

I believe Vincent (the tall guy...I'm the short bearded guy) and I did 6 sessions on Saturday and 4 sessions on Sunday, so 10 total. Pad wear was minimal on the front from just eyeballing it.

I still have the used CSG front pads, but they have a little under 1/2 the pad material left, so I decided to replace them when I was checking everything after this year's OneLap. I'll keep them for spares.

I never tracked the car with the OEM pads. I swapped to CGGs and dedicated rotors before the first track day with the car in '22.

I looked hard for the PMu Club Racers (per Bryan's recommendation) when I was shopping, but nobody had them. Ditto for the 999 at that time (May or early June...it's in this thread somewhere). I'd have the Club Racers if they were available, but you've made a compelling argument for the 999s as well.

The Pagids were definitely a "take one for the team" experiment. It's a little hard to tell from just one event, but they do appear to wear and perform like enduro pads. I know some here are fans of the Raybestos ST-43 like I am...the RSL29 feels a lot like the ST. Not much initial bite, very linear, last a long time.

Yes, I think I have about 1K street miles on them so far. I don't trailer my car, so I drove from MD to SC and back this weekend for the track event. They are quiet (for race pads) and play nicely for street stops. Even after the track usage, they were decently quiet. I'm used to pads making a ton of noise for a few days after a track event, but the Pagids were about the same.

My experience is ultra high Mu pads at CMP absolutely obliterate rotors in short order. I deleted the slots and ultimately shattered a set of Essex AP 372mm rings in just 3 sets of Ferodo DS3.12 at CMP. The track is fast straights and really slow corners with 4 hard braking zones so it is hell on brakes. Despite the higher speeds at VIR, pad and tire wear is 50% less than CMP.

I have a set of PMU Club Racers for VIR next month and assuming some pad is remaining I'll give them a whirl at CMP and decide where to go next.

10 sessions and minimal wear is incredible! We put 10 sessions on the car between us as well and there's maybe 1/3 front pad remaining (which I'm not at all surprised about). Ultimately if I can find a pad that stops comparably to the stock pad but also lasts 2-3x as long then I'm set.

Speaking of torture test.. I was really itching to run the car on the SC3 but our run groups were stacked back to back. Sunday afternoon my wife ran 15 or her 20 min session, pulled in and I went straight out. Essentially zero cool down, tires were 37psi and 170° to start... ?

It's still incredibly consistent even in mid 80°s! I did a cool down lap to see if I could pull off a 44 but couldn't make it happen. Later in the day after the car cooled I dropped tire pressure and went out for a 44 but couldn't get a clean lap without traffic.

Here's the 1:45.0 lap:

I bought the last set on the shelf at Bimmerworld - they actually had them in stock, vs having to get Pagid to dropship them. Finding them now might be a challenge. I'm guessing Pagid is like a lot of the other companies with race pads, they make them in batches and if you don't get a set from that batch, you're waiting for months. Raybestos is absolutely that way with the ST- pads, as I had to wait 4 months for a set for my Mustang.

Here's the 1:45.0 lap:

I was wondering what you ran when you went out in the car, as I ran into your wife in the paddock after you drove by. Vincent ran a 1:45 something in my car on Saturday and I ran a 1:48.0, but we were both slower on Sunday. Track conditions were obviously better on Saturday, so pulling a bunch of low 1:45's on Sunday afternoon is quick, especially considering my car is a little more modded than your blue car. I'd say, other than you being quicker than me  , the Supercars were probably a better choice of tire for Sunday vs my RE-71RS.
