That’s what I wanted to do initially. I asked my salesperson but they said they’d have to require the vehicle to be at the dealership to verify it came from that specific vehicle.
Your local tire store should be able to offer manufacturer warranty directly from the tire manufacturer if it's just a puncture kind of flat. Just make sure they have a no-touch mounter so they dont scuff up your wheels. Just remove that one wheel/tire from the car and roll it into the tire store. If you deal with big shops like TireRack, they will probably have the exact tire you need if it needs to be replaced.

Your salesman..

This is not a tire defect covered by a tire manufacturers warranty. It’s a road hazard claim under Toyota wheel/tire protection program through Toyota. Toyota will not pay a tire store to repair or replace the tire. You must have it done at a Toyota dealer. And they honored their contract and took care of the OP just as it’s supposed to work.

Some responses….

I've taken tires to my local Discount Tires frequently and they patched it and balanced for free. I guess they call it the hazard warranty or something, but these are tires I bought from other stores/ones that came on the car. Even if they charge $20 for balancing that's a lot more convenient than waiting around and baby sitting and risk getting your car scuffed up by the tow service, driven around by the porter, and wheel potentially scuffed by random shop who does it at the lowest bid.

I've had my share of flats through my life time and swapping wheels and tires is not a big deal if you're a car guy. why bother making a simple task be so difficult.

Hell, by the time I read the OP's post and now, my tire would be back on my car if it was just a puncture.

So you can skip the tow and drive to the dealer or tire shop.

Every Supra in the US should have a tire repair kit and inflator... Trunk, right side.
You'll see a door/flap.

Looks like this... Attached.

How to use it...

Hi there, I can only speak for the situation in Australia, a tire puncture is not covered by warranty here, that's wear and tear. My suggestion is learn to repair your own puncture, it's not hard. I have had 3 already in 20k km of driving, all close to the shoulder of the tire, normally tire repairers would say the tire needs to be replaced, I'm not going to spend $700 per tire every time I get a puncture. So I bought the following:
- car jack/wrench suitable for a GR Supra (i.e. BMW), I bought this one: https://heynershop.co.uk/car-lifting-equipment/4043-ultra-lift-pro-scissor-jack-wrench.html
- puncture repair kit, I bought this one: https://shop.touratech.com.au/slime-tire-plug-kit.html

At first I was skeptical of the Slime puncture repair plugs, but I did the research and learnt they are very effective and they last. No leaks at all so far. There are lots of videos on how to repair punctures using these plugs.
Does that jack work on the Supra? It fits into the jack point plastic rectangle?

I’ll do you one better. I repair punctures myself. In the comfort of my garage if it’s a slow leak and on the side of the road a couple times. I would never go through the hassle of taking it somewhere when I can do it myself in like 15 or twenty minutes. But that’s not the point. OP either doesn’t have the ability or desire to do this and he bought a pretty expensive wheel/tire coverage from Toyota. Toyota replaced his tire with a new one. Would Discount Tire do that for you for free?

Absolutely, I have one and fits snugly into the the plastic jack point. I can attach a photo of mine for peace of mind if you want, let me know.

This is why I have the Modern Tire spare tire kit. If I need to drive the car the spare will do just fine for a few days. But if I’m at home I would just take it off and have it fixed myself.

Why risk damage by dragging it on/off a flat bed?

If the dealership were to find damaged/worn out wheel bearings, then they probably COULD refuse warranty work if wheel spacers were used. They are known to accelerate wear on wheel bearings, probably over many miles. So even though this scenario is not likely, it could happen.
