The front 02 sensor is used by the DME to properly set AFR. 100% need it.I installed the pre-cat O2, post-cat O2 still uninstalled (let me know if this should change). I thought with the catless DP the O2 readings don't matter since it will throw a code regardless so I left them on my old DP since I wasn't using any O2 spacers. What really convinced me is my DP came with the little caps for the O2 ports and so I'm like ahh yeah I don't need those things plugged in anymore.![]()
Nah now I'm actually curious though. I sent the "case study" to Terry to see what he thinks. I wonder how JB4 factors fuel trims and AFR into its operation and if it affects the boost control or this is more on the dme side.well i guess full open loop is a way to fix the MT throttle closures

Pushing the JB4 MT tuning to new heights with O2-less tuning? Was my plan all alongNah now I'm actually curious though. I sent the "case study" to Terry to see what he thinks. That no O2 sensor log had no business looking as good as it did for a catless MT ?
Will need a few revs. I'll shoot you a PM later with what to try. Your AFR is measured with o2 sensorPushing the JB4 MT tuning to new heights with O2-less tuning? Was my plan all along
Here’s a run on V24 with your suggested settings: https://datazap.me/u/a90omen/log-1729276349?log=0&data=1-4
I only ran ~500mi without the O2 and had the JB4 gauge view up every ride watching AFR and never had anything too far off 14.7. I never noticed any rough running either so I’m curious to hear what Terry thinks.
after you install EWG post up a map 1 and map 2 log and we can go from there. stock dp cars start at default 50 for FF and duty bias
Looks ok, timing could be better. I only see Map 2 and Map 0 logs. Try FF 45 on map 2Hey finally got around to get some logs on MAP 1 & 2 , FF @ 50 , auto shift redux @ 70
let me know thanks !

It just takes more effort to dial in. On a stock dp car you don't really have to touch duty bias much.Are the "issues" with JB4 on the manuals only being experienced with an aftermarket dp? I was going to install a catted AA dp but I changed my mind and decided to hold up on that. I have yet to order the JB4, if I go that route but want to minimize anything that may make add to the clean functionality on the JB4.
There are no issues since @ColonelAdama worked so hard with Terry to refine the settings and launch a new firmware.Are the "issues" with JB4 on the manuals only being experienced with an aftermarket dp? It is in the first postI was under the impression that it only happened with the addition of an aftermarket dp. So with a stock dp are there common settings to use or it's best to datalog? Thank you in advance.
Yessir, i have been teaching you along the way so you can continue to test on your own as well. We'll get there. Trims is definitely a big bottleneck for us right now. Pretty much capped out at +5psi additive on E20I have a jesse tune and love it but i want to push the platform as far as possible for the 6mt guys and I am working with Colonel to see what he can make the car do as well with his own tune. My guess is combined information between both tunes plus a few things i have picked up along the way is going to yield me the fastest results for the manual platform but we shall soon see.
