3. ZTK M340i front brakes
M240/M340/M440 get the same brakes as our current supras, 348mm front.

M240/M340/M440 get the 374mm brake upgrade with the ZTK cooling package, which is what the normal update to the supra is getting (non FE)

FE is getting the 395mm brake upgrade, which is the "M performance" kit.

With either brakes, you are basically stuck with 19" or larger wheels. You might be able to find some 18 that fit over the 374mm brakes.

im surprised Toyota took the covers off so early. we dont usually see these types of announcements until spring.

on the BMW side of things the end of production date still shows March 2026.

I mean, at least in the US, the 2025 models went on sale in July, which was just 4 months ago. Assuming the (revised) 2026 models will go on sale in July / August of next year, the EOP date is more or less in line.

Didn't @A70TTR also said it was going to be B58 base? Anyways, iirc both of them more or less stated that the only minor changes were happened due to the fact that Toyota will be focusing the majority their resources on the next A100 Supra.
I said "Tada wanted the S58," but that acquisition (if you will) was not completed before he retired; he was off TMCs books almost as soon as the car was released. Like anything of this nature, market conditions and cost played a big role. It was supposed to feature a CF roof and the 7spd DCT from the GT4 as an option alongside the manual. But hey they pretty much kept everything else in line, so I'd say it's still a really cool car. Shame the US doesn't get it, but given past releases of models such as this that's unsurprising. That said, thats still going to be very pricey lol

yup! missed that. I think the 395 m performance kit is option to 5 series, perhap we will be able to get 395 from a 5 series but also fitted properly with new abs coding from the new supras, I know it was a concern with brake balance in the other threads that were discussing oem bmw brakes. ZTK calipers don't have as much pad options, maybe m performance 395 calipers have more choices?

As an aside, this quote from the press release is written in just such a way to imply that there's a future: New high-performance, high-specification GR Supra A90 Final Edition is the ultimate expression of the current generation

My day job includes writing copy that makes it into press releases for an F100 company, and this is exactly how I'd write this line of text to hint that something else is coming but nothing else will be done for this model.

I'll be over here with my tinfoil hat, but this is the first time I've been convinced an "A100" is in the works.

They sent out feedback surveys last week asking what people would like to see in the next Supra, was was most disappointing, what they liked, what they didn't. Unless they're completely wasting their time with market research on owners (which is totally possible), I think it's safe to say MKVI is on the table right now.
No shot this was for the Final Edition™ as they wouldn't have time to implement anything.

Pros: Parts made by bmw

Cons: Parts made by toyota

What would make you buy another supra: S58

Suggestions: yes

@A70TTR Is the US still getting the revised model?

All these are parts bin items. You can find the 395mm rotors/calipers on the X5 m40i, X7 m40i, 7 series, M540i, M550i

No coding needed. the pistons themselves aren't much bigger. it's more about the thermal capacity of the larger rotors, brake pads and calipers.

I’m curious to know if the partially upgraded Supra is just the stock 3.0 - for context, in Australia we only get the 3.0, but it comes as a base model and as a premium model - with slight changes to rims, HUD and rims.

has anyone worked out where the partially upgraded version applies to both classes of the 3.0?

interestingly, toyota EU says it will be rolled out across NA, Australia and Europe.

it’s 4 am here and I can’t sleep because I’m so excited.
That’s the EVO edition.

They’re releasing 2 limited edition models.

I wonder how many people have asked for an Inline 6

Hope a version of this comes to the US. It's going to be a pretty significant price bump. I'm going to guess 70k. Maybe mid 70s.
