Worse case you’d reset the oil like Phil mentioned… I get occasional gremlins to show up from the minor little things I’ve done & they go away. Still bet she’s going to feel more lively & you’ll be happy as a pig in shit by next week.

Ever consider going to MAP 2? Just need more air flow & fuel additive to get to 93 octane assuming. On my bucket ? list someday….
Yeah, I took her out a few times today and she definitely has more power despite only pushing her to maybe 70-80%. And yes, I'm running the stage 2 OTS map on 98RON which I believe is equivalent to your 93. I know there's more power running E85 but 98/93 is plentiful here and I'm not convinced E85 is all that good for engines, despite its benefits.

JB4 by any chance? Tune, meth or E blend gas? I get this on track when I forget to turn my little JB4 off (rarely do it anymore). But still, she’s muy sensitive to changes. That’s exactly what you do btw. Pull over, turn her off (sit a bit) & restart.
Yes, JB4 on Map 1, on pump 91 only. No meth or E. I guess when I ran into my appt, I forgot to turn it off… needless to say when I left, I didn’t push the car hard it just started bucking… freaked me out. Going to dealership and have them Diagnostic check since still under warranty…. LoL

I thought you were on Map 1. My bad ?. That’s what I’d want to do as well. Someday ?
Especially if it could run on that Map 2 on track (pushed hard) w/out needing an aftermarket heat exchanger ?

I changed the cabin air filter. it was an easy job, but took longer than I thought it would. Everything was so close together.
Reminds me probably time to do mine again… but I wouldn’t call it easy. Easy is opening your glove box and sticking that sucker directly behind it ;)

That alone shouldn’t do it (you’d think). Make sure it’s off when you take it in and that they really have a “Supra tech” the day you do. Otherwise, your car might be there a while waiting for someone to code read her.

Running ethanol is probably the best thing you could do for your engine in Australia. The regular 98 ron fuel sucks here. Ethanol cools the combustion chamber, it also massively prevents knock!! Only thing u need to do is regularly change ur oil...every 5k km. Ethanol is king!! Definitely a plus for your engine and not a bad thing...have a read on the interwebs.

I know Ethanol has some great performance qualities but I don't think it is all positive, even on the intarwebs.

And I have heard a number of people say Aussie fuels are rubbish but I have never seen any evidence of it. In fact, years ago I did see some evidence to the contrary, with testing showing that Caltex 98 was the best, closely followed by BP Ultimate.

I have used BP Ultimate in all my cars since forever and have never had an issue. In fact, my daily is tuned to 98 only fuels and it hasn't missed a beat in over 200,000km on BP Ultimate.

Itll be fine. Had the exact same thing. Goes away after couple of car cycles. Think I even had it come up another time but always went away. I've reflashed it probably 10-12 times and only gotten it twice.
Yea, but you know software
I'm assuming the historical oil change data is now missing and the system can't calculate the oil wear data. Can you reset the oil change required notification to zero it out or does it need to actually be presented to do that?
Phil
As @DC5UPRA suggested, this error went away after a few cycles. Of course, in its place I got a "check tyre pressure" message which MHD suggests isn't related.. but I'm not convinced. I think @lucky phil's historical data theory is on the money and I'm hoping that as this data is re-acquired, these annoyances will disappear.

I would say it unrelated. Are you getting a dash light or just idrive message about TIRE pressure (sry had too).

Haha.. Welcome to the correct English spelling. ?

I'll go for a run tonight and run a tyre check.. hopefully I won't get a new iDrive message to haunt my dreams. Also MHD got back to me and said its unrelated. ?‍♂

I've used ethanol for going on 18 years now. I'm convinced it's just fine. Even my cars 18 years ago had no issues and I ran full E85 in them.
Yeah. It's all old wive's tales.

I can take no credit for this.

Picked up the car today from Evolution of Speed, where @Jesse DaBears and Mike had put in a ton of work on the car over the last few weeks.

Together they installed a new EOS intake manifold, rebuilt the turbo kit completely, fixed some of my mistakes, installed a new high stall converter, powder coated the charge pipe, compressor housing and catch can hardware.

The car looks, sounds and performs better than it ever has.

Need to cut the engine cover, and have some custom standoffs made.

I’m really excited for the 2025 season!
