Time will tell
The b58 has integrated heat exchanger inside the plastic IM
I will end this convo since you seem like you know very little about BMWs and how they are designed

Btw , almost every IM upgrade replaces the stock plastic to metal
Yes here we are trusting the stock plastic end tanks on a factory BMW radiator ???
Not ideal, but reliable enough so far.

People that didn't know what they were talking about and just parroting others stated the Evo oem radiators with plastic end tanks were trash too yet I tracked with them as well.

Plenty of Supras being tracked heavily, some with 700whp+ still with the OEM front cooling stack. Time has told.

I tend to look towards the people putting cars through serious abuse over street driving. If somebody mentions canyons are the same I immediately stop listening to them. I also immediately stop listening to people that recommend marketing hyped poor designed components.

I don't listen to people who who use anecdotes presented as evidence
I am in the auto recycling business and we process 1200+ cars a month
Some of them are BMWs, ranging from early 90s through present late models.
I can see why copart, IA or my tow vendors decided to part with them and they send those cars our way
I have never recommended CSF or any other product of like, how ever I do firmly believe having seen literally 10s of thousands of BMWS come thru that their most common failures lie in transmissions, oil starvation and cooling systems

Tell us more about 90’s BMWs. Tell us more about busted out cars you see. Show us evidence of it being an issue on G series/supras. Not just one, but enough to be your “issue”. Show your work.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence

You can choose to read and decide your yourself what you want
I am not here to tell you how to think
You seem like a smart fella, but you tend to argue from a lot of emotion and fallacies
An argument from authority is not a good argument
Dismissal of ideas and information you may not agree with , which aren't inherently fallacies is laughable
I sense a great deal of anger in your posts
Might want have that looked at by a trained professional

So you can’t show your work and choose to deflect and project instead. Okay.

I’m reviving this thread because I’d also like to improve the engine cooling to reduce strain. Ideally, I’d like to install an intake manifold from DO88, since, as many have already mentioned, this seems to be the best solution for lowering or keeping the intake air temperature consistently low. However, there’s no way I could ever get such an intake manifold approved here in Germany.

The aftermarket radiators from CSF supposedly don’t really make much of a difference.
Do you think the larger radiator fan from the Final Edition (1000W instead of 600W) as well as the modified air intake would make a difference and fit the regular models? I know that the Final Edition also got an additional sub-radiator

The 1000w fan has been around for years. Available on M240/340/440 with cooling package and on G series M cars as standard. It bolts right in to the Supra.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think it would have a significant effect on the cooling, or is it not really worth mentioning?

That fan is only really effective up to 75 MPH, from my research the Verus Oil-to-Air + intake mani is the path to reliable heat management. That's the path im working through now.

Hi - I'm also from Germany and am also planing at one point further down the road to upgrade my intake manifold to a Wagner one.

As long as you keep the engine cover over it you should be pretty much fine during the TĂśV inspections.
Police controls might be a different thing, depending where you live.
In my region they mostly check the obvious things like wheels, exhaust, intake, ride hight and aero pieces.

You could also try and contact RHD Speedmaster and ask if they can do a "§21 Einzelabnahme" for the intake manifold.

Without the possibility of having the intake manifold registered, I’d rather leave it and not risk driving around without TÜV approval. The costs and risks of a potential removal or issues with the insurance are too high for me. Have you already been in contact with the company RHD Speedmaster? I’m thinking about asking Speed Engineering whether an „Einzelabnahne“ might be possible with them.

It’s a pity that there is no „Teilegutachten“ like the one for the Wagner and Do88 intake manifold for the S58.
