10 speed equipped base Mustang GTs are dipping into the 11s now. Manufacturers are pumping out some pretty insane cars right now.
From the factory bone stock?

The hottest new sports cars always sell above MSRP thanks to dealer markup's. I remember the Civic Type R going for $50k when it came out. Lol and people actually paid that much for a Civic. Limited supply plus tons of demand usually do that. It depends dealer to dealer. Porsche is notorious for this especially on their GT cars. Luckily for me I got my car at MSRP because I found a dealer selling them for sticker when I purchased it back in 2016. When it comes to the in demand sports cars (like the new Supra) some states, like California, require dealerships to post a supplementary window sticker explaining why a vehicle is being sold above MSRP. Most dealers price to market demand. Bottom line if you think one dealer is screwing you over, go to another.
Interesting. Ya even the type R in my city was sold at MSRP.

Thatā€™s why I never looked at cars ā€œon paperā€ specs whether itā€™s a Porsche, Mustang, bmw, etc. ā€œon paperā€ specs means nothing and is never a telling sign of a car, and this certainly proves again it can compete against cars that cost more.

It's easy to Monday morning quarterback and then claim vindication. Until very recently the lame specs were all of the info any of us had to discuss. I've personally owned, built, raced, etc. dozens of sports/performance cars so I know a thing or two about real world performance vs "on paper". For the sake of discussion/debate you go with what you have at the time. And FWIW, I don't recall comparing this car to a 370; only noting it was not an outlandish comparison "on paper".

Nah we knew from the get go. I daily a G37 and these motors are torqueless until its time to shift

Riight.. OK, omniscient yet superficial car guy. My wife dailys a G37. I'm quit pleased with the powerband (and nearly everything else about it).

Thatā€™s fine this is solely a relative argument, a lot of people think their Honda is fast

Youā€™re welcome to go back through my posts are see how many times I have said the 370z did not stand a chance against the mkV even at 335hp. It felt incredibly torqueless compared to a 335i 10 years ago let alone today

Yes by a few hundred pounds. But the car is still lifeless until it gets higher rpms. It moves when it is there but it doesn't last long
Do you have a manual or 7AT?

I feel that you are exaggerating here. The 7AT is geared pretty high in the first few gears the car pulls well for having 270 tq @ 5k. I can feel the tq coming on arounda3500rpm or so. Also, nothing with 270tq and 330hp should be considered lifeless.

My 05 s2k was gutless as is the FA20 and the Honda B series. Not the VQ or even the HRs from 2009+.

Never said you did and I couldnā€™t care less if you built 1000 cars or not, was not my point I was making. Wasnā€™t Directed at you.

I agree it is all relative, like a comparison of an E9X M3 vs a C63 from the same era.

Another source stating the stock figures are underrated!
Ahh...we need a video. I wanna see this thing make real time 400whp stock just to shut the "its a per-production car" haters up.
