some people say it worked doing the in car procedure which is setting climate to 84, hazards on, key in accessory mode, etc. i did that for like almost an hour and my temps were shit. you can try to do that and if it works then it works. if not you know to vaccum bleed. or vaccum fill. as long as you get the initial air in the system out then you should be fine. if that doesn't work you can run to harbor freight and get the maddox coolant bleeder and an air tank and return it when you're done. i luckily had my shop coolant bleeder when i did mineThere actually is a procedure, I figured it out a little while ago. Basically the same as the high temp except instead of turning the engine on you step on the gas peddle until you get the service procedure started message.
With that being said, do you thing it's still required to do the vacuum bleeding? I'm not 100% confident the line are clear of air?
