Anyone know where I can get the API SP version of the Motul X-CESS Gen 2 5W-40 (or specific seller on Amazon)? I've been using the SN version for years (pretty much since it first came out. Some may recognize the user name) and all I keep getting from Amazon is the old SN. I got lucky a few months ago and got some SP but now all I can find is the SN.

I may just switch to the Euro Castrol, Pennzoil (hell, any LL-01 oil depending on base) after this. Very annoying.

I‘d do the same thing, if I couldn’t find it. Well said ?

No one answered the question I had asked, "What does BMW specify for oil viscosity in their Z4 manual, here in the US?" Is it 5W-40?
No. For a 2025 bmw z4 m40i (b58) LL-17FE 0w-20 . It’s an SP grade oil

Newbie Here.
Let’s try something different on this “Another Oil Thread.”

What brand oil, oil weight, and why are you using it

Since the entity under the bridge has probably already been rattled I'll just add some more actual factual data around oil usage.

Here is my latest oil report. As you can see it also has the last five reports as well.

Added info and context below the report

- My Supra is mainly track use, although I do drive it on the street to/from the track, when logging for tuning and for pleasure on weekends.

- Track use of a car will put more stress on it in one event than a street car sees in a year, or maybe even ever. Do I think my oil usage is one size fits all? No. Not at all. Only Boomer Blobs make stupid stuff like that up from things I state.

- As of the report above, my Supra has done about 65 track days. 2,353 laps, 53 hours of track time. 3/4 of those are with more power than OEM and about 30 of those have been 500whp+

- I have used Motul X-Cess 5w40 since 1200 miles.

- Not that I give two shiats, but Motul X-Cess 5w40 is in the approved list of BMW oils I posted on post #1 in this thread. Don't let Boomer Blobs dismiss an official BMW document because it doesn't fit their narrative.

Thanks for replying. Looks like you got an outlier for the calcium measurement on 7/15/2024.
