By the time the C8 shows up the mark ups on the Supra will be over. I also wouldn't be surprised if Toyota lowered the MSRP for the 2021 year model. I think Toyota should keep the B58C around. Use it as a strip base model (AKA 95 SE Supra) for like $40k. :D
I also expect Toyota to release the MT A90 once the C8 arrives

Yeah and the way Toyota is going with ADM, they are only shooting themselves in the foot.

Look how Z4 sales have started dropping. The MKV will take an even bigger hit next year when the C8 starts arriving.

The C8 is touring Southern California dealerships and allocations have already been filled because they are selling them at MSRP.
To be fair it's not actually Toyota that is doing this. They don't own each dealer. And not all dealers are adding on mark ups.

Maybe not if Toyota plays it right. I think the car will become more competitive once we get the B58D. It wouldn't hurt if they slash the price tag by like $5k on each trim level. I would bit if the base car was $45k or less.

I would rather see this happen then that silly 4 banger. Not even Japan wants them lol...

I'm pretty basic, just give me AC, power seats and mirrors, radio, and a MT!

Idk how BMW will feel if Toyota lower their prices. I think it's already a good deal when compared to the Z4. However, I wouldn't be opposed to a cheaper model with less options.

But the higher spec one is actually pretty awesome despite having the wrong name. If I was Toyota I would have just changed the front and rear end and cut most of the options and sold it as a Celica.

It handles better than the I6 car due to actually being 50/50 and it's far lighter overall.

Toyota is going to have some competition in days to come. Corvette, new 350z etc. Its always been that way with sports car though. The manual trans isn't gonna happen fellas. I only see this car hanging around a couple years. Low sales figures are going to happen. They wont be able to justify the manual. I dont even know if the b58d will make it honestly.

Beside the C8 pretty much everything else like the Cayman and 911 were just replaced. Cars that are getting axed in the near future: TT, SLC (SLK), and 4C coupe. Everyone keeps talking about this new "Z", but we haven't even see mules or let a lone a concept. We were told this car would have a 8 year life cycle as with most typical BMW products. Well yes, it is a niche product after all. Google something called the 86. Why wouldn't the B58D be happening? Insider and VINs says otherwise.

That's a great idea and it would make a good 86 replacement imo. You would also think it would be a whole lot cheaper than to develop a new 2nd gen 86 with Subaru.

It hasn't changed that I can see -- it's always had a $63,700 base price (doesn't include $995 destination however). I attached the original pricing guide from the release (effective Feb 5 2019) that shows $63,700. That was the first official pricing info from BMW; anything predating that was unofficial/rumor/etc.
