Have you used this or has anyone? I didn't see a way to enter your VIN but I only got up to the point of entering card information.
I looked at it too, seemed a little sketch. 🤷

If the key was ordered for your VIN then it should be programmed then you just need to do the key learning process with the car.

That’s how it went for a local SoCal owner. Key stolen, ordered key for his VIN, received key, car started.

I’ve helped several people get replacements for about $850 following these steps. Here is my full write up:

Have your VIN and proof of ownership handy, you will need this to order the parts.

Call your local Toyota Parts department. You may need to try a few, as the process is not well communicated within Toyota.

These are the 2 parts you need to order. They SHOULD ask for your VIN to confirm it gets coded properly.

89904-WAA12 - TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSY (~$700)
69515-WAA01 - KEY, MASTER (~$175)

There is NO LABOR needed from a dealer for getting an additional key unless you are getting previous ones removed.

If your car is locked, and your transmitter comes in before the physical key, you will need to call a locksmith to open the car.

If you have the metal cut key, or the car is already unlocked, you can proceed.

Once you have the transmitter, just hold it to the steering wheel column and press/hold the start button. This will link the key and store it.

You cannot get keys from BMW contrary to what people say, our VIN does not show up as valid. You cannot use a key that someone else has available either, they are VIN locked and not reprogrammable.

You can have a max of 4 keys synced to our cars at a single time. You may need to go to a dealership to get the other 2 keys removed / forgotten this way someone can’t still have your old key and randomly find your car.

Toyota is a PAIN IN THE ASS to order these parts, you may get some that say they can’t order it, it’s on 9 month back order, or is discontinued. Some may say you need to reorder the entire BDC and keys and run you a $7k bill. THIS IS NOT TRUE. It may take some communicating or finding the right dealership to help.

Keys come from Germany preprogrammed to the VIN. Know a guy that lost his key after getting his stuff stolen. Took him months but he got a dealership to order the key and it cost him like $600 or something. He got his key replacement early in the summer. Think it was a 4 week wait.

BMW discontinued the key but it can still be ordered at least.

Wow, sounds like that must have sucked. lol

This will be a paper weight, they are manufacturered with a chip synced to your VIN from the factory.

You cannot get new keys unless they are directly from a toyota dealer and acquired alongside your vin and proof of ownership.

I've no need as I've already been through this process. I was referring to orering from a misc website without VIN & dealer input on their end. The dealer in your screenshot may work, but any website or location where you order without proving ownership and providing VIN details is not going to do you any good.
