Good day, all I have recently purchased my first MK5 GR 3.0 Supra. And I am looking to change out the intake and clearly when browsing the internet and all there are a ton of varying opinions for all the different intakes. Can the long term supraheads give me some insight as to the best intake to install?

What's your budget? Is this for sound? Is this for power?
I don't see a point in upgrading the intake on a stock tune or stock turbo. The OEM airbox is better than you would think.
Certain aftermarket airboxes leave panel gaps, and you end up pulling in hot air from the engine bay, and increasing intake temps. You'll pull timing on really hot days.
If you buy one of those +$1000 enclosed carbon fiber airboxes, I doubt it would make a huge difference in power since you're still on stock turbo, stock tune.
I would get a Femto or Autotuner unlock first. Start to datalog the car run couple of OTS maps. See if you're willing to upgrade the turbo later down the road and pair the intake and turbo purchase together.

Honestly haven't put a price limit on this yet, i bought the car two weeks ago and found a MHD tuner in the glove box. this is for sound and power i do plan to upgrade the turbo later down the road for now i'm just going one part at a time.

Found sound, everyone says Armaspeed or MSTv2

Arma is slightly louder but MST fits better and a tad cheaper.

Both intakes will increase temps since pulling in hot air, so it can actually degrade performance

Ive debated this for years but never pulled the trigger since it can negatively affect performance

I got Supra, not a Civic

I have an Eventuri on mine since like 5yrs ago. No issue, but I think I read some folks were having install issues on their non-2020.. might want to check into that.

Assuming that you go hybrid, if you end up buying one of those carbon fiber intakes pipes, you'll end up having to sell it since it won't fit the new inlet of the hybrid.
The MST would be a better option. The MST will fit the stock turbo, and will still be compatible with the larger rubber coupler that comes with the upgraded turbo.

Keep the stock airbox. I tried the CTS Turbo intake for the whoosh sounds and immediately noticed the car was acting weird. I was losing power because removing the stock airbox removes the heat shield which just caused it to suck in hot air.

In my opinion, the stock airbox is the best option. Just get the Verus adapter—it’s basically a plastic PVC end cap that removes the resonator. You’ll still get the whoosh sounds without sacrificing performance.

I've got the Eventuri intake and it's been great so far. The stock intake is good but if you want some extra noises/looks and want to burn some cash it's a well designed one. It's not as loud in the cabin as some others which was a plus to me since always hearing the whoosh gets old (from having that in previous cars). Secondarily it does add a little power too with a tuned car, though not really worth the money purely for that.

MST/MAD/Kyostar is pretty good for noise. I added some heat shielding to the intake box.

I went a similar route as I didn't want to decrease performance while adding some bling. I got a carbon lid which had a built in resonator delete which served this purpose. While it looks the goods, I didn't notice any change to the sound.

I have a 2021 with the Eventuri, zero problems after 4 years. Some people were having the lower coupling to the turbo pop off.

I think its because the mating surface with the urethane couple wasn’t cleaned properly before the install.

Best intake for the price is the MST V2 with a clear cover. The fitment is better than the Armaspeed and that turbo noise is great.
