What is the current process to tune a Supra using any tuner, with a locked ECU (post 6/21)? What is the total (of all steps from ECU stuff to driving) price range as of 12/2025? Is this still a $2000+ process after the recent changes?

Last time someone said it was this or that price, it was still a $2000 process by the time the car was tuned.

Are we saying it's now $250+ shipping to begin the process.

Step 1 - $250-$500 + shipping
Step 2 - tune cost?
Step 3 - Vrrrrmmmm

It's about $550 (remember unlock itself is 250 EURO) or so for unlock and shipping from AutoTuner or Femto

You need a ENET cable or MHD/BM3 Dongle to connect to the car:
MHD Dongle: $79
BM3 Dongle: $99

If you are stock turbo, and you just want OTS tunes:

MHD Super License (Flasher, logger, OTS tunes): $594
MG Flasher Super License (Flasher, logger, OTS tunes): $594
BM3 License (Flasher, logger, 1 OTS tune): $595

If you are looking for a custom tune and don't want OTS maps:

MHD flasher +logger: $462
MG flasher +logger: $424
BM3 License (Flasher, logger, 1 OTS tune): $595

+ whatever your tuner charges for the tune.

ecuTek is part of the options too, right?

Also, appreciate the response/details, thank you!

Ecutek doesn't offer OTS tunes, it's only custom tuning.

Ecutek flash license: $550
Ecutek phone flash license: $150 (If you don't want/can't use a laptop)
Ecutek ECU connect dongle: $350

^ These prices may vary depending on the tuner you use.

When the ECU comes back from unlocking, does anything need doing on the ECU before the car can be driven? Or is basically as it was before but just ready to be tuned?

I really want to tune my car but still under warranty. Thoughts on Dinan plug and play?

I haven’t seen much user feedback for the DInantronics stuff in this forum. You may have more luck finding information in a BMW forum.

Dinantronics thing is equivalent to a jb+. No wastegate control, no logging, no rpm/speed/gear-based anything. Your charge pipe pressure sensor just reads two or three PSI off all the time.

In my area jb4's go for 200 bucks on Facebook Marketplace nowadays.

Totally agree with i3igpete, JB4 is a much better alternative if you're worries about warranty and waaaay cheaper as you'll always see someone here sell theirs for half the cost.

A homie of mine has the Dinantronics x but he has the 2.0 Supra. He enjoys it alot.
