with what space?

if they design an intake, my bet is they blend the end of the door with the rear fender....but if you look closely, just like on the C7, the rear quarter panel seems to end midway instead of being one piece with the side skirt which is the biggest evidence against rear intakes..of course that gap/line could have been merely made from the camo panels, but considering BMW hasn't tried to religiously hide any of the gaps unlike what Lexus did the LC and since all the panel gaps seem production ready it makes it less likely. also the rear haunches, which on the ft1 was shaped entirely on the quarter panel, goes past the end of the door on the mule
From that angle it makes it look smaller, but from a straight side shots it looks like it is about the same as the current Z4.

A good source has said those side skirts aren't the final design either. If you do a zoom up on the more detailed photos it looks like the lines/gaps are cause by the camo panels.

while it maybe cool to see, i agree with HKz. i think it would cost too much to integrated an air intake into the door itself. side skirt like the LC would be more cost efficient.

All this back and forth of an intake when there might not even be one. Can someone make a rendering without intakes by the door? I'm curious to see what it would look like. :hmm:

The front fender height seems so tall in relationship to the front wheels. Maybe it's the angle.
yes it is indeed that tall considering that rendering was generated originally from one of the mule pics, I sincerely doubt we are going to see the car look any lower...I thought this was part of the expectation in a modern day car anyways as no one will ever design a front end as low as say a S2000..

I think it will be a little less tall/bulky looking when the camo starts coming off. The BMW with less camo doesn't appear to be as high as the Toyota mule.

The New Toyota Supra Is Still Out There Running Around

Its platform-mate, the BMW Z4, dropped this weekend at Pebble Beach. But where is the new Toyota Supra? It’s out there, away from the glitz and glamour of the Concours, running around with the people, on actual city streets. Just covered in camo. Still.

From reader Nick Ferrari come these in-motion shots of the new Supra (or whatever Toyota’s gonna call it, probably something bad that totally misses this opportunity) driving around Port Hueneme, California. We don’t get anything super new from these pics, but it’s a good reminder that this long-awaited machine is real and still happening.

I’m excited about it. I hope it doesn’t suck.

Why are all the sightings only been in California? :dunno:
