Love the aero discs. That blue pops well with the body color.

Def not a great design guy by any means, but i'm trying to make things work, color wise. Well, match, at least. Harnesses are blue (sparco). front brace is cusco blue. Alcon brakes are blue. NOw these blue aerodiscs. The red cusco tow hook will be painted blue at some point. Just some subtle blue touches here and there to make it a proper second color. Will probably stop there....subtleLove the aero discs. That blue pops well with the body color.
Radiant heat is radiant heat. My climate or yours, I'm sure we'd both rather do what we can to keep engine bay temps down at the track.Curious as to what you're expecting from a temperature decrease and where/what that decrease will help with. Suspect based on your climate you're looking for an overall engine bay temp decrease.
If you really want to go crazy, get Inconel shielding. I did that on my last track car and it made an insanely huge difference in everything.Radiant heat is radiant heat. My climate or yours, I'm sure we'd both rather do what we can to keep engine bay temps down at the track.
In theory should also experience a tiny improvement in spool. Nothing really noticeable. Trapping heat in the downpipe = the exhaust gasses will move faster. Exhaust gas velocity effect, basically. But eh, we're talking near negligible territory.
Yessir. I'll always try to do that, and sometimes even at the cost of the eventual outcome, within reason. Part of it is because i enjoy supporting people doing things i wish i had the skills to do myself. Can always count on you to do your due dilligence to support forum members.
+1 for this thread.
Will read up on this. Bathroom reading material secured. Thanks. I have a decent understand of the properties of inconel, but not so much from a motorsports application perspective. If you really want to go crazy, get Inconel shielding. I could literally hold my hand 1" away from the exhaust right after coming in from a session.

Thank you for the explanation.Radiant heat is radiant heat. My climate or yours, I'm sure we'd both rather do what we can to keep engine bay temps down at the track.
