How do you plan on passing emissions in CA? They look at the checksum of your ECU and if its not factory you automatically fail.

I asked about this to Femto, and at least with Femto they said that the new version of their Unlocking will still show a stock Calibration ID and CVN when re-locked (stock tune).

Obviously when flashing, the CVN and checksums change, but flashing back to stock and relocking should revert back to an OEM CVN which should change the checksum back to its stock value. This was confirmed by Femto. I asked on one of their posts.

When it comes to flash counters, I'm not sure if CARB is looking at that or cares. I don't think it should matter since dealerships can flash the ECU numerous times.

When you get your unlocked DME back, can you plug in an OBD scanner and let me know what your Calibration ID and CVN is?

I'll compare it to mine, stock 2023 DME with MT.

my duty fee was $40 coming back from femto. Seems consistent.

@RyanA90 I think you will be really happy with the upgrade to E40 OTS from JB4. The extra bit of power isn't even the best part. Customization, map switching, throttle response, no rev hang, burble adjustment, disable cold start, no lift shift. Really enjoying it and excited for ya!

I did but with new upgrades comes new issues trying to figure out 262144 limp. Think it is overboost on the shift. Triggered after a few hard 1-2 pulls and seemed to reset after 10 min driving. Probably time to go custom!

Yea hard to know without a log of it. Good thing about custom tuning is you don't have to put up with the trash throttle mapping that OTS creates.

Yea i reached out to a few tuners(and mhd) to see if its a known MT issue on OTS. I guess I will log any time I drive and try to recreate.

But I guess to anyone else catless on OTS may just wanna take it easier on the 1-2

Try and look up your Calibration ID and CVN before loading MHD.
