Yeah, that guy didn't know what he was talking about, there is not supposed to be grease inside that section. The only grease that would be visible is what's used to lube the o-ring seal on the case. One rack had the grease cleaned up, the other didn't. It's not the epic failure the guy is making it out to be. Pity this kind of nonsense on social media has now been taken as fact.Not sure if it was the Texas one or not but they tore rack apart and it had no grease in it but replacement did. I’m just sick of waiting. Original arrival was July 26th.......
I also happen to believe they had a simple EPS motor failure but then fuc$#ed the gears up by not re-learning the rack to the new car and setting the limits. I wouldn't normally side with Toyota service on this, but I think they saw this hack job a mile away and were justified denying warranty.
