I have a C8 on order and seriously considered the Supra. These are the main items that I found it lacking:

1. Targa top
2. Interior color options
3. Exterior color options (though this is far better than the interior situation)
4. Remote start

Besides that I think the car is terrific.

is there buzz on any of these features appearing for 2021? I do remember something about Toyota saying they would offer a targa if the demand was there. Well it's there.

Next year will add a baby blue and matte black with blue accents in the interior, but this will be a special edition run of cars. No news on targa or remote start as far as I'm aware.

Thank you.

I read the article about the special edition Misano Blue exterior but I missed the fact that it would offer a somewhat different interior option. Are there any photos of this new interior?

I want to add that I think the styling of the supra is phenomenal and I couldn't care less about he fact that it shares a platform with BMW. Actually I see that as a major positive. Since when was being a BMW a bad thing?

No pictures sadly and no specifics of what exactly "accents" mean. We'll hopefully get more info on the coming months.

I also just discovered that Toyota Australia offers the red interior on all colors on the GTS grade. Why on Earth did Toyota decide not to do this in the US?

Each market is different. Europe has the A90 edition. Matte grey with red interior.

I understand that, I just can't understand why they thought relaunching their iconic car with one interior color was a good idea.

Itā€™s a BMW with a Toyota badge, thatā€™s why. I mean you also get a red interior, but that is limited to exterior colour choice for some reason.

The C8 and Supra share little in common.
The C8 is clearly the superior choice for what you are seeking and is no doubt the better value proposition.

People want the Supra because they want the Supra.

I personally budgeted myself for the new Porsche GT4 but was rejected because I had not previously owned an GT car, so here I am crawling back to the Supra forums.
Clearly very different cars but on my own view, a fun sporty 3rd car.

For many here, the Supra is a daily driver so the C8 isnā€™t even on their radar and I donā€™t believe youā€™ll find what you are looking for. Gone are the days of the 4 seater targa top Supra. It simply isnā€™t possible with this architecture.

Better value? There's hardly a passenger seat!

Only thing it lacks is temp gauges on the cluster...I know there's hidden mode for that, but the problem is if you shut off the car or even change gear (P to D) it would went away.

Button in the rear for hatch release while keeping your key in the pocket.

As someone on both the outside looking in as a consumer and as someone that worked on the project, I really don't care for the interior. IMO, it has a very boring cluster/dash/steering wheel (I do like the CF switch panel). I generally love the rest of the car though.

How many interior color choices did the MKIV get again?

You could opt for a LE model either white or black with red/black interior

As someone who specifically wanted black on black, color choice isn't a factor for me.

I did already tell the dealer that IF Toyota release a targa version, I'll be trading my 2020 in for it.
