Tune is fine, boost target is over 20psi, the timing is there but the turbo still just won’t spool how they claim it should. Atleast on manuals, i have a few friends with manual omega and we all have the same late spool target boost being hit around 4500-4700. On the V2 it can be a little laggy if WG arm length isn’t between +2 and +2.7.

is your time on an E tune? Edit: just realized you’re on e60. Something is wrong for sure. I had an issue where the WG flap was a little to large and it was grinding against the frame causing late spool. Might be that. Open the hood and do a WG flasher WG arm test. See if it clicks or has trouble opening and closing consecutively.

Yeah i kinda gave up on the turbo just because everytime i reached out they told me to constantly adjust the wastegate even though i got it in spec of 2.5mm/3mm like they requested. Just barely any improvement at all with the spools of it and it’s too hot in florida to give a damn so i just bought p900 lol. Id like to see what @AJRMKV says though.
Did you have the V1?

Yes this is an E tune, arm is at 2.5mm, check your log when do you hit boost target and your wdgc stop being 100? mine is 4700rpms i have the v2 with upgraded wastegate arm + spacer

Yes this is an E tune, arm is at 2.5mm, check your log when do you hit boost target and your wdgc stop being 100? mine is 4700rpms i have the v2 with upgraded wastegate arm + spacer
We have the same set up, but I upgraded from the V1.

And this is the tune for my V1, but after installing the V2 housing. So it should work better once I get a revision from Shoup.

E45 tune is 35PSI, I haven’t tested that one yet

Yeah that’s how my 4th gear looks as well, the 3rd gear is what matters to me for roll races. If possible whenever you get a chance to show a 3rd gear pull please. my 4th i hit target around 4100 as well.

Raise your oil pressure to keep Vanos Ex on target. May help a little with spool up. I just did an M240 with omega 65 and it is spooling up a couple hundred rpm sooner. Its possible your wastegate arm is still not quite right and "100 wgdc" isn't really fully closed. I've never seen a difference between manual or auto for spool tbh.

Raise your oil pressure to keep Vanos Ex on target. May help a little with spool up. I just did an M240 with omega 65 and it is spooling up a couple hundred rpm sooner. Its possible your wastegate arm is still not quite right and "100 wgdc" isn't really fully closed. I've never seen a difference between manual or auto for spool tbh.

Yeah i see this is done in 4th gear, in my 4th i hit target around 4100 aswell which is nice but i dont start any runs in 4th gear. i’ve adjusted that damn wastegate arm so much ( currently at 2.5/3 on MG flasher). i even got a new turbine housing from remnant because the one i had had a faulty wastegate flap and that fixed hitting boost target just not spool time. i have a 900 on the way so i gave up on the omega, i havnt seen any manuals hit boost target in 3rd gear anywhere near the time a 900 does so im switching.

Yeah that’s how my 4th gear looks as well, the 3rd gear is what matters to me for roll races. If possible whenever you get a chance to show a 3rd gear pull please. my 4th i hit target around 4100 as well.
Ill try to get a log in 3rd soon but i think you might be right. I dont hit boost until 72-75 mph

Ill try to get a log in 3rd soon but i think you might be right. I dont hit boost until 72-75 mph
thanks man, mine is the same my 60-70 is almost a full second and then it hits boost target. As you can see with my acceleration.

pure900 was very similar in spool up time in my experience 🤷‍♂️

Manual or auto? Manual definitely has a harder time spooling up the turbo due to the lack of torque converter. On autos i’d say the omega does fine hitting power around low 4000’s but 900 does hit power a bit sooner. If you can find a manual p900 log id like to compare 3rd gear pulls. because i truly dont think they have similar spool time on the manuals, every manual omega v2 owner ive talked to has very very slow spool time

I have done hybrid turbo MTs but these two were AT, so you could be right.

Gotcha, very curious to see how @AJRMKV 3rd gear log looks once he’s able too, it will be good for the manuals to have this data, especially since he comes from a v1. could see how the bigger housing effects spooling characteristics

Swapped to the remnant V2 housing without a revision and did this run on 94 off the bat without NLS. problem is the V2 doesn't spool until 105-110 even with a roll in as you can see in acceleration (g). with a revision it might do a 6.1x or a 6.0x

Haven't done the log yet, but as you can see on my 93 map 100-200. im spooling earlier than you and holding gs. Were you spinning when the boost hit because it looks like the car was either having trouble spooling up or was spinning based on g-force

100-110 is 0.49
