Iā€™m kinda in the same boat, planning to drive the car stock a little longer but when Iā€™m ready to pull the trigger on a tune Iā€™m trying to figure out which to go with.

I really like some of the bootmod user configurations of gts roar. Cooling mode etc. But I think MHD also has some of these? Any pics of user adjustments?

I was in the same boat, went with bm3 just yesterday. I'll play around with it tomorrow and let you know, provide screenshots and hoping to take bunch of videos for different exhaust stuff.
25-28% tq/hp improvement. I'm not planning on dynoing it anytime soon though, so don't expect a dyno result from me.

I'm likely to go with BM3 until spring hits and may get and test MHD afterwards.

I like this:
  • Reverting back to stock performance map and re-locking the DME to stock programming

Are you running a down pipe or no?

MHD does this as well. MHD has superior logging as well as not being dependent on internet connection.

yes, MHD has all that. believe it or not, the GTS start up roar on NON GTS vehicles started and came from me. Which we implemented into MHD options some time ago.

I'll postpics of some of the options in the MHD thread to not cloud this one.

While Bootmod3 is cloud based you can download any given map much like Spotify works with songs for example and flash them with or without internet.

Being cloud based brings many advantages to users including not being tied to a given operating system or physical device. You can use a laptop with macOS or Windows on it but you can also use mobile with both iOS and Android.

Another unique feature to bootmod3 is it preserves any given vehicleā€™s DMEs software version. Most other flash tools use a single version of software to flash all the DMEs of a given type. This includes flashing back to stock causing a mismatch in software ids with the rest of the carā€™s software. It is far harder to add support for tuning all software versions this way on our part but we felt it was something end users would tend to appreciate. Tuning all vehicles with a single version does provide for some added benefits when it comes to adding other features and weā€™ll soon be supporting that as well for reasons of some advanced changes to software.

There are hundreds of logging channels available and 7 of the top 10 quickest MKV Supras today are tuned with bootmod3.

Bootmod3 comes with an integrated cloud based tuning editor that is free to anyone to use and doesnā€™t even require a bm3 license.

Weā€™re working on a few really neat features there and general platform additions that have come in through end user feedback which weā€™re looking forward to releasing. The cloud based tuning editor is tied into the tuner directory where you can choose a tuner to work with to build a custom tune for you and not deal with manually emailing datalogs or retrieving map files from emails. Process is integrated and makes life far easier than staying on top of things over email. It was built to enhance the tuner-customer experience and weā€™re always working hard to make it better based on feedback.

Any other questions let us know :drive::drive:

To begin with, everything is stock in my car (so no downpipe at the moment)
So, I tried the OTS Stage 1 BM3 93 Octane with Startup roar. Roar didn't exactly amaze me too much, but again stock exhaust.
However, the OTS claimed 24% increase in power surely is noticeable. Now I'm getting bunch of wheel spin :)
Burble/crackle/etc. I pretty much had to max the sliders to notice differences. I'm exaggerating, they are nice, but I'm in need of the MagnaFlow exhaust! Need funds! :)

I did a full backup of DME first, which in total took ~30 minutes.
Then 1st flash took almost 4 minutes.
2nd time I flashed, it took like 30 seconds.
(these are actual numbers, not estimations)

Below are the screenshots of few screens.

My only caveat at the moment is, with my touchscreen laptop, I cannot pan up/down (scroll) on the Map config screen or any other screen for that matter. didn't check the html to debug that.

Overall, I like it, haven't tried to use the cloud tuning editor. Where exactly is that?

I forgot to take a screenshot of the overall page.. Will do that later. Hope this helps!

I don't know why these sample screenshots are not provided in BM3 or MHD pages and people have to rely on members. anyhow there they are.

disclaimer: these are the pages I see with my subscription and Supra A90 vehicle, screen layouts/info/etc. may be different for other vehicles :)

Is there any way to start the vehicle in sports mode by default?

i asked in the other thread but no one replied to the question :
-how do i know what software version my supra has so that i can figure out if i have dealer flash lock i.e unable to flash BM3 ?
- will there be a stage 1 map for e85? as it's easily accessible in my case and will save the hassle of mixing fuels compared to stage 1 e30

UPDATE: Map configuration screen update with descriptions for all settings and values available.

This should help those using the screen for the first time get a sense of what the values are if or when they may not be clear. I realize some of you will enjoy these being added right in the screen even though all of them are documented in the actively maintained bootmod3 User Manual (lots of details/screenshots of the mobile app screens which are shared with web app).

I'm running OTS BM3 and love it! I'll be doing a catless downpipe soon too. Glad to see solid tuning solutions on the market!
Will I need a custom tune to remove the CEL for the downpipe? Or is this something I can turn off using the app?
