Oh yeah, doesn't bother me at all. I find it kinda funny that they still try to shit on the car despite what people are doing with the platform. Tells me all I need to know about them.
End of the day, I'm really enjoying the car and that's all that matters to me. Does what I want it to and I...
Lmao, it's a Lego set. Not gonna be a 100% faithful rendition. Agreed though, would've liked to see a Technic set that gets closer to the source material, but still glad to see something produced. Will be picking one up to add to the collection.
Almost always positive comments and interactions with the car. Have had the car since December 2019, still get people that'll come up and ask about it and still get the "this is the first one I've seen".
There have been a few negative interactions over that time, usually the same tired BMW...
Guess I should've clarified. The white and black LEs got the red leather interior and mirror caps, plain black interior for the red LEs which is the same as the '21 Premiums.
Have an LE now and I'd go with it still even against a '21. I prefer the interior, black OEM wheels was a plus and I've had no issues with tuning or reliability.
Car looks great. What are your wheel/tire specs? I've been looking at switching to the RT660 since I can get a 19" 295 with them, but have seen reports of them running wide.
Finally got around to doing this today and it was definitely worth the time. Big improvement in sound quality, I no longer hate the way the OE subs sound.
That kind of use over such a short period of time should be proof enough of reliability.
Bottom line, if you're afraid to do anything for fear of breaking shit, don't modify it. Or maybe even consider a different platform.
Have had mine tuned and catless downpipe for about 10k miles now with no problems. Trackdays, trips to the drag strip and a weekend of abuse with Gridlife and not a single problem.
Just during road use so far. The ride on the H&R springs felt a little stiff and harsh over bumps and imperfections, whereas the HKS springs feel a little more compliant, but not to the point where it's too soft and unstable. Car feels just as responsive and planted otherwise.
Hopefully be...
Ride feels a little better than the H&R springs, Visconti kit was really easy to install. Like Snorlax27 mentioned, just mind the panels, mainly the kick panel. I broke a tab on that one too.
A few things recently: switched to HKS springs from H&R, finally got around to installing my flex fuel kit from Visconti and had ordered the LG lip, but ended up getting the wing sent to so still waiting on that.
I tint all of my vehicles. Looks much better and definitely helps on the hot days. Went 25% on the Supra, no windshield tint, I like to be able to see clearly at night.
