I find it interesting no one mentions the one right above the GR Corolla as well, as that one hasn't been even hinted at. My wife is excited for that.

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not. But the new Corolla hatchback is actually sick. It’s going to be around 167 hp(which is about 40 more than mine.) actually it kind of seems like Toyota in general has become a much more aestheticly appealing company in the last few years. Probably a good thing they got rid of scion.

I saw this and if it’s accurate it’s going to be dope but only 90 released will be rough
Hang on a minute... Toyota can't truly be planning to release ONLY 90 units of the GR Corolla for the U.S. That's completely pointless and ridiculous. I'd expect that for a Supra GRMN if we were ever to get that in the U.S. but not for a volume performance Corolla.

If there is any truth to that low figure hopefully it has to do with constrained production late in the year before Toyota can ramp up to more normal numbers of export units being produced for its next model year.

I believe his sheet was specific to NY so I would guess those 90 are just in NY state. That’s just a guess though unless they’re trying to production VERY limited for 2022 which means trying to be someone who is a “normal person” and get one when every YouTuber etc is going to be trying to get one will be a pain in the ass

that was just the NY market for the last 3 months of the year is what their sheet says, mainly any launch with Toyota is going to start slow so I wouldn't read into any sales projections for one area for a short time as what to expect. But I would expect it to be hard to get a GR.
