I gave a deposit this year for a 2024 model an absolute zero Supra three months ago I changed it to a stratosphere one after comparing both colors in person and immediately changed my mind to blue The dealer said that I won't get the 2024 model I want anymore only manual or hazelnut interior are available So I have to wait for the 2025 model. I hope I can buy what I want before spring.I had a non-refundable deposit with a Toyota dealership while I waited for 10 months - the deposit was for a specific model year / type. If they couldn't deliver on that it would be refunded (otherwise, non-refundable). So I originally put the deposit down for a '22 and if I didn't get a '22 I definitely could have gotten the deposit back, however, I instead had the sales guy apply it to keep me in the line for a '23 model.
I would think if you put a deposit for a '25 model and they don't deliver that there is no way they can just keep the deposit.
Sir, there is a name for that here, it's called "do an @Awad"do a chargeback on it.
If you’re willing to do the Toyota inventory zip code search, you should be able to find just what you’re looking for. There are a ton of dealers in your area (outside of Chicago). I’d search every 200-250 miles by zip. The cars will show up on the Toyota website before they get the car. That’s the time to start negotiating. Call or do the internet price button/chat. The internet sales person wants to be the 1st to sell that car as bad as you want to buy it. They will go to bat for you!I hope it finally shows up and I'll have the Supra with me before spring
I check Toyota inventory every day within a 500-mile radius Twice when cars appeared I called but they were already reserved … im not in rush because winter is coming and the car would just sit in the garage but I'll wait until spring If I don't find anything by then I'll probably move to another platform crazy how long can wait time be for a car….If you’re willing to do the Toyota inventory zip code search, you should be able to find just what you’re looking for. Ask how much of a discount they are willing to give and go from there. Talk total price (out the door, no junk fees) and let them know you’ve got the funds (or approved) to buy it. You’ll save both of you the hassle getting past that and give them the confidence they need to proceed. I’ve bought most of my cars this way. You’ll weed out the good dealers from the bad ones quickly. And… you’ll enjoy the buying experience much better when you do it this way. Happy hunting!
I thought just like everyone said that finding an automatic would be very quick ? and there is 2024I'd go get that deposit back and if that car shows up in 4 weeks, then just drop it back down. Looks like they easily convinced you to not try to get your deposit back. I already have a 25' I've owned for over a month now. ATs are getting dropped in the system and they get picked up fast. It's mostly MTs out there right now.
Do Not hesitate.....GO get it! Hope you do finally get it! The car is so good you won't be sorry.I thought just like everyone said that finding an automatic would be very quick ? and there is 2024
Blue mt sitting on the lot 10 miles from me …

I'll wait at this dealership until the end of this year If there's nothing by then I'll start looking on my own The deposit can be refunded whenever I want so that won't be a problem The salesman at this dealership is a friend of my best friend He recommended him to me and I'm in constant contact with him I don't want to be rude either.I was in the same boat as you. Put down a "non-refundable" deposit and waited forever. The dealer was very cagey about when a car might arrive because, well, he had no clue. Eventually I told him I was fed up, and wanted my money back. He tried the same thing your dealer did, told me a new allocation was due in a week and tried to get me to hold on, but I said no, I wanted my money back. And he gave it back, although it took a few email reminders for that to happen.
In the meantime, I just went on Toyota's website, and searched for what I wanted. Since you can only search within 500 miles of a certain location, I just put in different cities across the country to try and cover as many dealers as possible. Within an hour, I found 4 or 5 exact matches to what I wanted. The closest one was spoken for, but the 2nd closest was not. Contacted the dealer, booked a flight, and within 10 days had my Supra.
Yea I got that from reading the post. If you find that AT jump on it.I only want AT
