I've been thinking of doing my own changes. Do you think this will be good in 110F + weather? It gets a bit hot in the summer.
For temps above 100’F its better to consider a 0w-40 or 5w-40. The 0w-20 is a definite hell no.

+1 to 0W40 with those temps, or a 30 weight oil known to be tolerant to high engine heat like Amsoil Signature 100% Synth 5W30, Pennzoil Platinum 5W30, or QSFS 5W30 -- these oils dont thin out until 275F and the viscosity loss is < 10%.

This is the way.
The Oil you recommend Liqui Moly Special TEC LL SAE 5W-30 Is rated API SL. My Supra owners manual calls for API SN. look at Liqui Moly Top TEC 4600.

I change religiously every 3k. I'm not worried about it.

The OP did not mention if his Supra is a 2.0 or a 3.0. Is the oil qty and filter p/n the same for either one?

Any recommendations on any 0W40 or 5W40 oil?? I’m in South Georgia and the humidity here makes the summers pretty hot.

thanks! OEM or Mann oil filter?? or is it just preference?
MANN-FILTER HU 6022 Z is the correct oil filter. Toyota re-packages the same filter with their branding and part numbers.

What do y’all in Southern California or similar climates use? It gets to freezing temps maybe one day a year here, 90-105 degrees are much more common.

What’s the difference between those two? The kit he shared specifies the Z4 so I figured it would be same for the Supra.
