Great clutch for a street car, not for track use (road race), held 600whp no problem.

I used ClutchMasters in all my race cars ranging from 350-750whp, no issues. I do advise that you choose the correct clutch disc material for your application.

For a street car the full face Kevlar disc has amazing engagement, near stock drivability. If you plan on racing/tracking the car, the Kevlar disc has a tendency to stick when it gets really hot ~20 minute sessions.
I guess the question becomes: what is someone's power goal or end result? The last thing someone wants to do is build a clutch that they will then have to upgrade from again because they exceeded the powerlevels they thought they would be happy with.

My understanding is that most Stage 1/Stage 2 tunes are going to net around an extra 100ft/lb of torque.
Theoretically, if you are not abusing the clutch and not caning it all the time then it should survive reasonably well, although you'd be mad to expect it to last as well as a stock clutch handling OEM power & torque.

Most remaps have switchable tunes & torque limiting abilities, so it would make sense to consider that.

This gives me a lot of hope. What Torque numbers are you putting down?
What’s your Wtq?
Approximately 635wtq

Strictly Street/daily use

My local shop owner was telling me about quality control issues with Clutch Masters on the A90 a few months ago. Keep us posted on how you like it after install. Are you Stage 2 full bolt ons E50/E85 for the 550whp?
Bm3, WIP tuning with stock clutch until I feel it's time to slap in the clutchmaster.
MST v2 intake
FTP cp
Catless downpipe
Single exit tomei
Snow Performance methanol
on 93 octane.
Still with the CDV, would like to feel the difference but rather not waste the extra money on the cylinder that comes without cdv when i have the hydraulic release bearing that'll eliminate it.

I have not dyno'd yet, just slowly street tuning when i get the chance. I raced few friends of mine around 550whp and beat them about half a car length several times ?. The torque number based off the bm3 logs which isnt 100% accurate, i know.

lolwut. Magna Steyr does not make either transmission. Magna Steyr assembled the car. The transmissions are both made by ZF Friedrichshafen AG, aka ZF Group, an engineering company/parts supplier headquartered in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is the same company that made BMW's previous DCTs and also makes Porsche's "PDK" DCT transmissions.
Getrag made the M-DCTs of the past.

ZF has always been a manual provider for BMW. As of recent years, they went ZF8 to replace the DCT setup.

Car is a clutch, flywheel and driveshaft away from holding probably north of 800 whp pretty easily unless it's a drag car.

My bad. For some reason, I was thinking the 7 speed DCT in the last gen M2 and other cars was also made by ZF.

Your profile says located in Puerto Rico. Did you use a Tuner here in the states? I have the same 6MT you have and I've been looking for a tuner. I reached out to a popular Tuner in California and he said he hasn't worked on any 6MTs that have BM3 and I was planning to go with BM3. Open to any Tuner suggestions.

that would be insane numbers for 93, that is more then e50 cars make, manual has less drivetrain loss but still haha

Yeah remote tuning with Doug Newton @subpartuning on Instagram. Local shop tuned most of their supras with him with great results. It’s my first time with him so I can’t say much but he sends revision maps relatively quick and each time car starting to respond better.

Yea hahah, im just going off what bm3 log register but soon i’ll take it to the dyno and show what it’s actually making. Correct me if im wrong!

So you're pulling on E50 500+ whp supras with a 93 octane tune?

Are you using methanol as an octane booster or cooling?

That's nm and those are computed numbers.

638 newton meters is 470ft lbs.

C.E.S got the manual supra to "550whp and 648wtq" with a $2,600 clutch andflywheel upgrade but turned it down to "537whp and 581wtq" for reliability.

My local shop you mainly works on BMWs and MKVs, recommend Spec clutches over Clutchmasters. If I go that route eventually when I tune and add a DAW turbo, I'd been debating between these two clutches.

That's around 470ft/lb, at the moment I'm running over 490ft/lb and haven't encountered any issues. (yet!)

However, I do drive it with eye on being kind to the clutch.

Based on prior manuals I have owned, I would prefer Spec over Clutchmasters, too because I have had issues with CM on other platforms. With that being said, I dont see where Spec makes a clutch for our cars. Does your local shop have a PN or vendor they order from since Spec’s site doesnt show anything?
