Z must be using some very special chips as all chip shortage is pretty much sorted out.. And it only affects the Z lol. Very well might be the case but they should admit that they didn't prioritize the Z, rather Rogue, etc.

I mean the C8 had so many launch issues, uses gazillions of chips yet you see shit loads of.
I agree with that lmao I live in bowling green where they’re built and there’s fuck loads haha I have YET to see a new z local to me or in Nashville. However I’ve seen at least 7 new C8Zs

Never even seen one on the road, and I'm a truck driver lol. They must not be selling ?
I've seen 1 in Naperville, Illinois when I was visiting for my cousin's graduation. None in the Seattle area, but @WSUPRA did see the one which was listed for $130k.

How???? Why???? What??? It’s not a bad car for around $35-40k but damn… I’d take a GR86 before that.

Finally a comparison in the right class.
I keep beating the dead horse because I was actually considering the new Z based on its press releases. It just hasn’t lived up to the hype - in the Supra price range or performance.

I have seen one in Dallas, on the showroom as I drove by lmao. Seriously though how is Nissan trying to claim their production issues are caused by chip shortage when EVERY other manufacturer is not having those issues. I’m sorry but I flat out do not believe that Nissan is using a proprietary chip that only they have lol

I don't know anything about Nissan. Or what ECUs they use, or how they're assembled, or what ICs are involved in this particular car/combo.

But I DO know that the chip shortage is still very very real. I'm a hobbiest hardware hacker guy, and a lot of ICs are still impossible to get. Everything from 555 timer chips to Raspberry Pis.

And yes, I know I'm not buying a trillion of them, so I'm at the bottom of the list, but there are still chips that are not yet back to their full production capacity.

According to those at M7g the ones in the lot are ready for delivery, the ones on the road are waiting for chips to finish them for delivery. Whether that's true or not beats me, but I have read manufactures are still shipping vehicles without all the options they are supposed to have.

The big ass lots here for GM vehicles are empty now...
All dealers seem to have ample vehicles in their lots.. Can't comment on missing features.. For Nissan again the case of Rogue & Pathfinder sales being best ever this year should tell you guys what you need to know..

Boils down to what priority Nissan gave to Z and whether the order quantity and Deadline they put in kept changing or not, as we see that a lot, and bulk volume. I feel like it's about launch date. Who has a trim level called Proto. Lol. We couldn't finish it on time so that's what you get ?
You need 10M chips. Ok we're on it as that's a large bulk order, need to get ahead of tooling/testing asap.
Oh you want 1000/annually ? OK we've got higher priority stuff, get in line with hobbyists. Your order is after Zack's :)
