I'm sure this wing was tested by Toyota. Does anyone know if downforce measurements were published? To me, the wing looks fine for the street on which 99% of owners will drive the car.
I've had nothing but compliments about the wing and the color. But to each his(or her) own, as the old saying goes.

Of course, if your car has 800 horsepower and performs like this one, go for the giant wing look.

at that height it's more of a spoiler than a wing, i'd be surprised if it's better than 2:1 L/D ratio.

a good wing only cost you ~6hp at 120mph, that's about the same as your mirrors. the little one probably cost a bit less drag, for a lot less downforce

Yes, but considering the difference in HP the Senna makes, the large amount of downforce is not going to slow it down as much as it exits a turn. I think tires will make a bigger difference., but then again, I'm not a racer.

downforce doesn't slow down your rate of acceleration, drag does. this wing, which does not conform to any naca profile, just adds frontal surface area at the rear, and drag. no pressure/suction benefit to be had at this shape and height, just downsides. won't help cornering, won't help acceleration. if it actually did something, toyota would have added frontal aero elements to balance it out.

Not a Corvette.
Let's not forget the Supra is a Grand Touring type car first, so this wing makes perfect sense from a OEM point of view. I'm fine with it. I think it looks fine.

Now, if the upcoming Supra Chorizo GRMN doesn't come with a swan neck wang and a big ass front splitter I am going to rage quit my life, but not before Al Gore and I burn down the internetz.

if that car comes out, I’m gonna have to eat a lot of depreciation way sooner than I wanted to for the car that’ll replace this Supra.

I own a 1 of 2000 Ducati Paul Smart1000 LE in which 2283 were actually produced. They all have a 1 of 2000 badge just like our 1 of 900.
my 981 GT4 was 1 of less then 2500 ever produced. 1 year only car. only came 6 speed. they were not numbered but when you saw a GT4. you knew. It had its own prestige

And that seems a wee bit shady... Right? I'm not out to bust Toyota and Co. For building more, but at the very least I'd like to be happy knowing I bought exactly what I paid for. You're a rider as well, that's awesome. ???

Back when I was a Corvette guy, a bunch of local owners would go on "mountain runs". One of the guys pulled the trigger on a Z06, which was considered the fasted Corvette at the time. When the ZR1 came out, we would tease the Z06 owner about getting rid of his car and replacing it with ZR1.
His exact response was, "You guys are going to put me in the poor house!"

Moral of the story: There will always be something out there that is faster and better-handling. I was entertaining a 2017-2019 NSX and even a McLaren GT or 570 GT until I realized that many other things I like such as travel, dining out, etc would have to be put on hold for 6 years while I was paying off the exotic car.

That's why I bought my Supra. It has 95% of the uniqueness, fewer bragging rights about acceleration, but half the cost. I used to have a motorcycle when I was younger. Then the accident happened and since then, I've owned a convertible. I just can't give up my MX5.

So your plan is to sell your 2020 and get the Toyota godzilla of GRs, even if it goes for six figures?

Congrats on the 45th anniversary I'm in South Orange County if you ever want to take pictures or meet and greet. I have a CU Later Gray.
Chris, did you go to the Phil's Barbeque meetup in Pt. Loma?
I remember that were some owners from Orange County.

I didn't get a chance to go. It was our family's annual Frindsgiving we host at my house and that day was too insane with all the prepping there was no way I could have made it. I'm definitely there for the next one. Does anyone know when the next meet up is?

New parts went on today, and I stuck the winter wheels/tires on the M4. Now I have vents that actually vent! First warm day in like two weeks.
