@mustafazumit has tons of issues with his, and filling up fast with DAW ultraflow X at 30 psi
Yes I did have issues and my first recommendation is running the oem CCV line since it has a 1 way valve check.

I happened to crack my valve cover which caused a lot of smoke on decel and my catch filling and spitting oil in matter of secs.

I don’t recommend the block off pins from bmr. check out ross racing check valves which are much better.

Interesting. BMR specifically told me to block off the CCV line once I installed the PCV Pins, otherwise the CCV line would fill the can with oil (and its not needed once the PCV holes are blocked).

Thank you sir.

Yeah that seems to be the way to go once the pins are installed. thanks.
I take that back. I just looked at it again and I did plug the CCV port on the block.

I've been wondering about this topic.

I originally installed the VS PCV head port check valves. And BMR vented oil cap. I added a 1pound check valve to the oil cap and made a line to an Amazon catch can. It never had any oil in it. I have been getting smoke out of the exhaust ocassionally.

I just installed the BMR catch can and I think I'm going to leave the 1 pound check valve attached to the oil cap line and block off the ccv line.

What do you all think, I just don't know enough about it to say one way or the other is correct.

The VS block off check valves didn't come with gaskets like the ross racing ones, so now I'm worried.

How much boost are you planning on running?

Most people have zero need for a catch can.
I have a pure900 waiting to go in. Going to run it with Nostrum S58 injectors, DS3 HPFP, some kind of LPFP, and flex. I assume that would put me around 30psi but thats just a guess.

I was concerned as I have a buddy with a pure 800 who blew his valve cover, so I figured id get ahead of it. But the conflicting info has me worried.

Yea, 30 psi with the 900 will have more to it so overbuilding is a good idea.

So should I just stop worrying and install this thing?
I don't run a catch can so I'm not the right person to ask. I have run 29-30psi but not flat, just out the top, which will have very different cylinder pressure than running 30psi flat.

I doubt you will be able to run 30 psi flat with DI though.

Can confirm i have that exact setup, Pure 900, DS3, S58 Injectors, stock lpfp. And the ceiling is 30psi. It equates to about low 80's% Injector Duty Cycle.

On that note i also use a BMR catch can, Should i be plugging the lower CCV Line. That wasn't mentioned back when i bought it i believe

You can run 30psi low RPM too? What is your max HPFP angle?

Low 80's DC means you have a good amount of head room still in the top end.

What power are you making on Ethanol (and what % E?)

Do you have the PCV ports in the head plugged? Are you running the full BMR can setup (PCV, CCV, Oil Cap)?

Boost is tapered in to keep torque at bay but 4500 rpm and up it makes 30. I'll take a look at my logs later to take a look at the Max HPFP Angle.

Never dyno'd, E50 Mix but the car is setup for flex fuel.

I do not have the PVC ports plugged, i think ill be going with the Ross Racing Check valves tho. And Yes full BMR Catch can setup
