I have been using bm3 stage 2 ots tunes since march and I was perfectly happy with them. I left my car in storage for two months and when I got back the car was perfectly fine on its 2-3 month old flash. Once I flashed the car again, the car has been acting CRAZY. It has been making a singular loud POP after letting off of the gas on stage 2 ots 93.

The ride is rough and yanking. Basically, the car is not fun to drive anymore. The car did not throw any codes. Is there anyone with the same issue or knows how to fix it? Protuningfreaks support is being extremely slow and hard to work with.

Been on BM3 Stage 2 93, close to a year now.
Super smooth tune, no issues.

Bad gas from sitting/storage?

I drove the car for 500 miles and almost 3 tanks and was totally fine. After I flashed it to a newer tune the problems started.

go to config, move burbles all the way to the left for normal and sport.
check if cold start roar is on. turn it off.
if you don't want any pops, you can turn it off.

ALSO, check this to see what has changed. Chances are things that were set low as default 4 months ago maybe set to high as default for whatever reason.

Obviously, what map did you chose? AGG is as the name suggests AGGRESSIVE..

rough and yanking? expand on that..
well maybe first fix your burble issue, see if yanking is placebo.

Ok so, let's put ourselves in PTFs shoes. Thousands of users for all Bimmers easy to use platform thus usually not very knowledgeable users. Asking them to root cause things that are in the manual or that user can root cause by thinking/searching for 2 mins or things that are not PTF related, etc. and expect a quick service as if it's a Amazon call center...

Not to mention the vague descriptions of issues they must be getting..

I guess when you're in this game ( messing with the drivability of $60k cars), your customers is going to expect quick turn arounds on questions. Don't get me wrong, I understand the volume and frustration, and will be using their stuff soon. As a customer you want to hear " man, I reached out and their response was quick and informative. Although we don't have a fix yet, they have informed me the are working on it and will let me know something soon." Hope just a busy time of the year

Have you data-logged your driving experience and looked at the logs to see if anything seems off?

Hey @XtremeMaC, I just tried your suggestion and the weird pops came back unfortunately. The yanking and rough ride is DEFINITELY there and noticeable. The car would drive and there is a sudden jump in the rpm then back to normal rpm. I have checked if the car threw a code and got this.

Power management: battery has fallen below the upper starting limit.

Could that possibly be a bad battery due to 2 months of storage and is the reason for the yanking?

We've come to learn that a close to dead battery is cause for many issues on Bimmers. So many forum posts, so many YT videos highlighting this.
Definitely would take care of it right away. You need to take care of the obvious issues before jumping to others...

Also, it is advised that you hook it up to tender while flashing....

Also, not for nothing, but I'd not put the iPhone on power save mode. I know it's mostly for background apps n sync but why risk a 2 sec toggle on/off. While at that, BM3 also advises turning Airplane mode on...?

I too keep my car in storage months at a time, but I always lock the doors because I read it puts the car and battery in like a hibernate mode to protect the battery. Do you lock the doors when in storage?

Yes I did lock the doors. But still, it may possibly be a battery issue

Well if you're keeping it stored for long periods, it's good practice to be mindful about
Battery on tender
Gas tank. Fill it full.
Tire, flat spotting. Put it on jacks.
Etc...
