here to agree with the comment above. I got my Garmin dash cam and the charger that came with it didn’t work. Swapped it with another from my other car and it worked fine.

Don't want you to go down a rabbit hole, but I'll just let you know that there are 2 versions of chargers.
You may be using an old one? I doubt it, but just letting you know..

12-volt cigar lighter receptacle and plug, size A: (below 1, 2)
  • Receptacle inside diameter: 20.93 - 21.01 mm (median 20.97 mm)
  • Plug body diameter: 20.73 - 20.88 mm (median 20.805 mm)
  • Most often used in American automobiles.
12-volt cigar lighter receptacle and plug, size B: (below 3, 4, 5)
  • Receptacle inside diameter: 21.41 - 21.51 mm (median 21.455 mm)
  • Plug body diameter: 21.13 - 21.33 mm (median 21.18 mm)
  • Most often used in European automobiles, and sometimes as a second socket in American automobiles expressly for DC power connections.

Exact same thing for me! My Garmin is now hardwired, but when I was testing it with the supplied Garmin USB cigarette charger didn't work, but had an old 3rd party USB charger laying around I got from Amazon and that did work.

Awesome info. I tried a few adapters and they all felt loose and would stop charging if they were touched even slightly. This will probably solve the issue.

I'm re-opening a old thread but mine's showing that it's charging my iphone 14 Pro but sometimes it charges and sometimes it charges really slow. I swapped out the charge and tried 2 other ones one flat but taller and one I got from Best Buy that fat and tall.

The one from BB is supposed to be MFi certified. When it works it charges fast and when it doesn't it's slowly charging like sloooooow. I have a generic magsafe and the official Apple magsafe and both have the same issue. I even checked the fuse and it's fine and the light, lights up blue to indicate it's working.

It was working up until recently when I realize that it wasn't charging the phone a few days ago. I'm hoping someone has any answer. I've tried usb A and usb C and both have issues. I might swap out fuses and see if that helps.
