Nice Miata!! My sons hardtop just got stolen parked at our house here in CA. I’m pretty sure the thieves followed him home, because he came home at 3:35 am, they stole it around 3:55 am and a neighbors camera caught them driving away at 3:59 am, unfortunately no plates.
Ugh, that sucks. There was a lot of that going on since the market for hardtops skyrocketed.

I've made the trip on two lane roads from Denver through Nebraska (and a bit of Kansas) on the way to Des Moines and vise versa a couple of times. The problem I ran into was oncoming semi truck traffic. They often carried a mini "dust storm" of road debris behind them that pelted the hell out of my Miata. Those two trips added plenty of rock chips on my bumper and hood, and plenty of pocks on my windshield.

I'm curious what route you took? I'm assuming you didn't encounter this. I'll be picking my car up from Lincoln Nebraska.
Dang, that sucks! Yeah, Complete opposite of my experience and only encountered 3-4 semis through the majority of the Nebraska farmland. I was on the furthest northeastern part of NE and when i mapped my route to Denver, I had set Google Maps to "avoid highways", so it ended up giving me this random diagonal route to and through the SW corner of Nebraska!

Or you could go ape sh*t crazy and add blue painters tape at the dealer when new. I just wanted to get home chip free (1 hour drive) so I could ppf (clear bra - xpel) the entire car without any flaws.

Yeah I'm Nutz! ?

Hmmm that road warrior plus looks like a great option. I may use that when I go pick up my new Supra next week for a 550 mile drive. Thanks for the recommendation!

anyone have experience using it on a Supra?
I used this stuff on my Tacoma when I took an 8 day trip across country. Had no rock chips and worked great. However, certain areas I didn't layer on thick enough were extremely difficult to peel off. Some of it stayed on a year or more because I didn't want to scratch the paint trying to get it off. I don't think it's worth the hassle. I'm planning on trying tracwrap for the 350 mile trip back with my new Supra.

Just FYI
Tracwrap is made from 8mil (.0008″) vs 5mil tape...
Yeah, weigh your options... Cost, thickness, trouble...

Got mine then had to go from NV-NJ. Windshield glass took more chips than the paint surprisingly. Wish I woulda gotten one of those ugly bras or bumper ppf though at least.

Yeah, I'm thinking at that size it will be easier to handle for install. So we'll see. The price and the reports of leftover residue of the tracwrap was not my favorite, which caused search for different options.

Also, if the tracwrap sizing is more whats needed, get it from the original, its WAAAAY better priced. https://www.trakktape.com/
How did the frog tape end up working out for you?

It didn't lol It was rainy and humid the day I needed to apply it so it wouldn't stick. Oh well. Good news is, made it a 12 hour drive without a single rock chip since I kept my distance from cars in front of me.
